Hi people i really hope one of you experts can help me!

My Ac died and the room temps went up to 48 degrees and burned the 3 inches off the top canopy on a 8 x 8 scrog 2.5 weeks into flower, i was just about to lolly pop the bottom so there is still bud sites that survived down there.

should i reveg the scrog plants? or remove the damaged buds and keep them in flower??

I really can't decide, I hope someone can help me.

kinda hard choice that which would be best/yield/time

are they actually in flowering? finished stretching?

thanks for the fast reply mate! id say one more week left for stretch, i'm absolutely gutted, it happened 2 nights ago some of the buds have some white hairs returning but i lost all the main tops on the canopy the under growth is perfect i suppose im lucky the heat didn't entirely kill them,, what would you do?

i think i would only trim the damged buds and leaves what are NOT growing anymore or over 50% dameged and let the light down to the lowers if their still rockin poppin frssh hairs a defo wouldnt reveg it takes to long trust me lol
u not got a pic of the damage

heres what the tops typically look like, i've removed most of the dead leaves already i can see white hairs coming back they were all brown, god i hope i can salvage something out of it!!

i took a pic a few hours before when i was changing my reflectors ill show you what i lost

Yeah...bust out the tweezers and pick all the dead stuff off... Id say leave em but the new bud growth will grow around the dead stuff and you will have buds with dead stuff intertwined into it when its done. Do not cut down all the way to the green, just leave fine edges of dead (if you cut down all the way to green, that will just scab over) nawmsayin

Really makka!! thank fuk man, i thought 4 months was down the drain!! i run a sealed room but i think i really need a fail safe for the ac going out, right at the finish line!!

beautiful grow dude... can you move your intake air onto the tops of the plants, maybe help from a fan?Thats how i do under my 2k light or they burn too. Dont need blasting fan on them just enough to cool the tops off

good point but i would say they still look alive the buds that is lol the hairs still look pulpous not dried up but obvs upto op to make that call i would leavem n pick off completely dead stuff

Thats a great idea D im gonna set up intakes and outtake as a precaution you cant put all your trust in one appliance, it only took 3 hours to do that type of damage!

Im so glad you said that makka i feel a lot better now, I nearly got sick when i saw them,

you've both been a great help I really appreciate it lads,,

thanks for the compliment D not too beautiful any more tho lol, but its 16 rqs critical in 10 gall coco/hydroton

im using a light mover so i had the lights very close to the tops, it fried a good 2 inches the smell in the room when i went in...rotten!!

If you get to trimming those buds up and they look really bad at the base...Id just cut em off...the energy will then go to the next set of buds. no worries most likely the plant will not miss a beat...I'll snap a pic of my setup....its some afro engineering but it works

This 2k watter will bleach my plants if I dont have this air on em. and a reg fan just blowing on them wasnt good enough...they needed some out of tent cool air action

wow that looks fantastic! i've never used 1k bulbs before but i'm kinda glad i don't have them after what happened lol,
its a very clean op your running i love the space you have to work with, easy access.

i think i'm gonna steal your idea and invest in air cooled lights that would have saved me all this shite!

That light raised up higher is a 2000 watt light...has 2 1000w bulbs 2 ballasts. Some strains just cant handle it..they either throw nanners (blue dream mostly)from the light/heat stress. They mature alot faster under that pup too. That intake tube is so long that the time it gets to that fan its kinda weak cool air, but still effective. How many lights you running? I'm all about doing shit on a dime
