Don't get too excited over what you saw. Major trichomes, regardless of what many believe, is not a guarantee of potency. It's what's in the trichomes that matters and at times a plant that is sparse in trichomes can be far more potent then a plant that looks like it just survived a freezing rain and ice storm.
Looks can be deceiving.

Looks can be deceiving but I think that I would scrape those buds and snort it - too good looking to smoke

True take grape ape for example. All batches I see are EXTREMELY frosty but potency is definitely lacking...

I know that just because it looks really fancy it doesn't mean it has to be more potent... but it's just really pretty. :]
