I have a 48x24x60 tent with two grow lights, one is a 1000w led and the other is a 600w led. Is that too much light should I take one down. When I flip the bloom switch on my tent can reach temperature of 86 degrees. Should I keep both and just flip the veg off. I also have 4 plants in the tent.

What are the lights? I'd like to know what the actual watts are compared to the made up marketing numbers.

I just keep my door halfway open. Waiting for new exhaust this 4 inch ain’t cutting it. Gonna switch to six inch. Mine gets up to 86 with 300 watts with the driver on the outside of the 3x3 tent

Are you running an exhaust out of the tent?
Yeah I am running a exhaust out of the tent. Also I have fans in tent. One oscillating fan and one on the very top blowing the stagnant air. It just when I hit the bloom switch it heats up. I don't know if this help but I live in south Florida and my ac in my house be on at 76 degrees during the day time

Blurple watts are not actual watts. You don't have 1600w of light.

Leaf temp is what you're interested in, should be about 78-80f.
Sorry I am just giving you the information that I have, That's the specs on the lights that was given to me and the two temperature gauges are showing the high temps

I looked up that tolys 1000watt. Is dosnt list the actual watt draw.
Unfortunately cheap led produce more heat then light.

That size tent with a 4” fan you should be able to keep it 1-2 degrees above ambient room temperature.

investing is a quality light would go a long ways for you.

I just looked and someone on Amazon said that it read as 126w. What's the 600w one? Either way that is not enough light and pretty crazy that it's overheating your tent.

My main question was should I remove one of the lights or keep both of them in. This will be my third grow first in this tent which is bigger so I chose to use two lights. I understand that cheaper lights give off more heat that's why I asked the question. Buying a more expensive light is not a option.

If any grow light has 2 switches turn both on for the entire grow.

Is the "veg" switch blue heavy? It might be a better idea to kill that switch and run only the flower switch along with the other light if so.

Horsen is the 600w. But the tolys never gave me a problem before this is what I growed with it

The HONORSEN is 110w. Only 16w less than the "veg" setting and it looks like a way better spectrum. I would kill the veg switch and use both.
