I'm hoping some of you have started your own buisness and can offer some help.
Are their any grants or govt money available to someone starting a new corperation? Any one who can help with info on how to raise money or investors. A bank loan is out of the question.

No idea what kind of corp you're talking about, but basically you need a strong enough business plan and pitch to convince them (your investors) that their investment will turn a good return, then they own stock in your corp.

SBA.gov

that evil EEEVILLL government doesn't provide the funds, but it acts as a kind of 'cosigner' for what is known as an SBA-backed loan. you need a solid business plan. i've tried to get one of those but the SBA only gives out small loans and the type of operation i was thinking about requires a bit more funding... i'm still optimistic i'll make this dream come true though. :)

you can't go in and say: i want a loan for my corperation, and expect to get it though ;)

Yes you definitely need a solid business plan, and of course a spell checker.

The buisness plan is really not solid and neither is my spelling. I guess i'm wondering if their are grants or govt money available? Does a new corperation qualify for any money? I tried to google it but it was all adds for services to tell me how to get grants, I filled out one thing with my phone number now I have people from india calling trying to ask me about going back to school. Any help on how to get a grant or govt money? Or how to get investors without a good buisness plan? how do you find investors?

grants are different from loans.

government grants are only given to Non-profit organizations for educational, research, or community (shelter for abused women) services.

you have to convince them you're going to use the money for something good for our society, they won't just give it to you.

you have a better chance of going through the Small Business Administration, or at www.sba.gov

a business plan needs to have projected revenues, how many jobs you expect to create, whether these jobs are permanent, seasonal, or contract jobs.

you need a 'pre-money valuation' and a 'post-money valuation'.

this has to do with how much you think your idea is worth.... not too easy, your best bet is to hire a business plan writing company to help you out.

Thanks for all the info. I plan on the buisness losing money and not turning a profit and I plan on doing good things for the community, but it is a for profit Corp, can I still get a govt grant or does it need to be formed as a non profit? can I look for private investors? I can sell stock but I don't want people expecting anything from me.

Trying to find investors for a corporation that is not going to make money is going to be tough, might want to leave that out of your business plan

i can give you a loan.

On the off chance your serious, no thank you, i'm not looking for a loan because I do not want to be in debt, I'm looking for start up money that does not need to be repaid.

what do u need a loan for? why do you have to incorporate before even testing the waters? you should get your idea on paper and make a plan. sometimes libraries have people who can help you or guide you. what are you spending the $ on? you need to market yourself properly if you want to get any recognition from venture capitalists. you can't say you're not going to make any money... no one wants to give money and get nothing back.

I think I have to be a part of a association to get involved in real carbon trading but as a corperation I think I can produce and sell my own carbon credits as long as I don't claim to be associated with the real carbon credit people, I'm looking into it, and i'm open to other suggestions.
