need help just lighting

paddy i dont get tht thing u sent me how can u tell its a cfl light just worried if i put it in an then my crop go wrong get me

Hi.. yes its a spiral CFL, They are what i use, i have 3 x 20w DAYLIGHT bulbs with a 6500k rating (look on packaging) and 1 x 20w WARM WHITE 2500k rated.

they are working just fine..

Yeah, definitly a CFL, don't think they make incandescent bulbs that spiral like that. Nice plant frosty, really fat leaves :D

Heya... thanks.. thats my kerala x skunk, its around 15 days since it sprouted, lights are on 18/6, watered sparingly every coupla days,it has had a very small dose of sulphate of ammonia, which is a nitrogen feed for cabbages n stuff, i used approx 1/10th dose and will give it a dose evey 2 wks..
i just hope my LR#2's start off so nice when they sprout..

That'll work, but its too far in the red spectrum of light for decent growth, as its a warm white bulb.. try to find a bulb labelled COOL WHITE, it'll have a 6500k rating and puts out more blueish light that plants use whilst vegging..
Some websites or stores have them labelled as DAYLIGHT, those will do the job just nice. I have seen them on some websites for people who suffer with SAD (seasonal affective disorder) the daylight bulbs help people who suffer with depression and lethargy in the winter, when the days are shorter and the light is less intense, Daylight is equally important to us not just plants...Although the bulbs tend to be a tad more expensive from SAD sites.

ok then cheers iv got florences lights as well got a 2 ft one and a 4 ft one hanging above it with reflecter u reckon thts enough iv got 250 watt hps for flowering

the fle20hlx/t3/827/b22 number is a descriptive code.
FL = Fluorescent, E = Electronic ballast, 20 = 20W, HLX = Helical style, T3 = tube type, 827 = Phosphor colour, B22 = 22mm bayonet type.

add it to the others it will help, the more the better.

so is all tht ok for vegging ? my misty at moment is about 4 inch tall coming on a treat just hope my lighting is ok for vegging?

Yes. the fluro's will work for veg and as supplementary lighting in flower, see if you can find some brighter,maybe someone else can suggest a brand or particular wattage... the cfl's will work but IDEALLY YOU NEED to get the 6500k ones for Vegging..and 2700k-4500k are what you would use for flower combined with the 250W HPS and the fluro's.
