hey guys.well i started growing a couple of months ago and my 2 plants looke nice and strong and aswell healthy.they are outdoor plants but i want to put them inside and use cfl lights due to hydroponic grow lights being extremly exprensive in australia. so today i went out and got 2 cfl lights that are 115 watts each and pruduce 1,500 lumens each.they are 4100k cool day light cfls and i was wondering would these be ok for flowering my plants i dont mind to much wat quality of bud i get as this is my first grow. thanksz

I wouldn't expect much off 3000 lumens. How big is the area ur gonna move them to and how big is/are the plant(s)? I'd say for just one ull need to get AT LEAST 2 more of those lights.optimal lighting would be 10,000lumens a square foot but u can get away with less but using floro I would go overboard as they lack intensity and ull end up with fluffy bud.

yea id go with 2 more 100 watt 2700k cfls 2700k works best for flowering but mixing them works good too
and yea its best to go with more then u think is enough when using cfls
i have 6 100 watt 6500k cfls on 2 plants

hey buddy my area is verry small its a built in closset enough for 1 plant to fit in comfortably with abit of growing space around the plant.my plant is 2 1/2 ft tall and my other plant is 1 1/2 ft tall but they are both bushy. if its not enough lighting would a better option be to keep growing outdoor and if so how would i get them to flower out door.i dont mind buying more lights but i wanna try not to attract to much attention in electricity as it is ellegal to grow where i live.even for persanl use

those are not 105w or 100w cfls you guys are talking about, that is their halogen equivelent wattage.4100k is not ok, its in the middle of the green spectrum about and green spectrum is absolutely worthless to try to grow with since plants dont absorb green light really. you want to bring your outside plants inside because "hydroponic grow lights" are too expensive.....??? why cant you leave it outdoors anymore?

did u not read it properly. i said i want to bring them inside and try grow them with cfl lighs because "hydroponic grow lights" are expensive to run and buy in australia

if i had the money to buy hydroponic grow lights i would.and as for why dont i grow them outdoors still is because my backyard is small and i dont get much sun and not to mention my neighbours are assholes

i understood what ya meant, lol, i was j/k. they will do better outside in semi-indirect light than under a few cfls. alot better. so the neighbors would rat you out?

aiight lol.yea mate they are already getting abit sus on me and last time i had 2 of my plants get chopped up by some one lol.oh and if i grow them outside mate what would be the best way to make them flower? cheers

you could bring them inside 12 hrs a day into a pitchblack room or something, or put a black plastic bag over it to make it so its getting 12 hrs dark. but you gotta do that at the same exact time every single day w/o exception or you risk light stress hermies, i'd just let em flower on their own as the days shorten naturally and maybe put a a small fence to block the view, or anything you can think of that would work for the purpose.
