Need help growing pounds of weed outdoors

How do you get pounds of weed outdoors? I can only yield like 1 pound out of 10 plants that was taller than me and im 6'1, probably i harvest to early because i harvest them mid-September and i planted them late-April.i wanna try growing outdoor again but i want to yield more than 5 pounds out of 10 plants.
how do you keep plants short when growing in ground?

soil chemistry, feed, bugs, genetics all play a big role in outdoor.. your areas temps and stuff can as well... places like here in michigan we get like 1-2 months less outdoor time than what cali gets because of our harvest times and cold weather.

if your worried about yield get a large stocky plant indoors ready before going outdoor.. but make sure your running hearty outdoor genetics some strains just don't grow or respond as well out side as they do inside.

having your plant in the right areas outside is important to.. you wanna make sure they are getting consistent sun and aren't under a forests canopy etc...

Im unsure of that lol
I have only one plant in a guerrilla spot as the second one next to it died..im thinking if it doesnt yield a minimum 6 oz its a waste of time doing it even tho it inly takes me 7 mins to drive within 100 mtrs of the spot......
10 plants guerrilla u would wanna see 4 oz minimum surely for a 10 plant 2lb yield at a minimum

Well if thats not worth your time im glad i dont pay your salary. , 6oz = atleast 600$ for a couple minutes of your time

money don't come into it im on 130k a year but rather than buy its hell of a lot more fun to grow your own..all im saying is ..hang on? 6oz $600 ???? wtf tell me where that is and ill buy 5 lb and on sell within a day 3x profit

all im getting at even if its a guerrilla grow I fail to see how 1oz a plant is worth it? unless they are autos...correct me if im wrong its just my opinion only

at risk of sounding like trolling you mate an oz per plant is what id expect if I put seeds in the ground and never watered after that day just came back in 4 months to see if they ready to harvest..AND even then theres something wrong if I couldn't pull 3 per plant :)

gday mate if your growing straight into the ground maybe you could try 15-45 gallon smart pots buried with a small border around the top of them to hold water in when it rains or you water plus plenty of mulchthen when u feed ferts etc or water its all going to the roots and not half of it running away from the plant..any trees cutting out sunlight ? if so one tree cut down could mean 3 hrs extra sun and would be well worth it..im not that exp but theres guys here who are well worth asking the right questions etc doubletake n getaway for instance
