Need help finding a grow medium

I have a new 2x2 tent and light being delivered tomorrow. I haven't bought anything to grow a plant in so I need help deciding. I already grow in soil and get what i think are good results. The 2x2 setup was so cheap I decided to try something other than soil. I thought about kratky, DWC and autopots. Which way to go I'm not sure. My 3x3 with light blazing hovers around 74 to a high of 78 degrees. 78 degrees is a rare high but I have a 4" tube running from the tent over toward the AC to help keep temps down. The new tent is only 2x2 but had a light pulling 200 watts from the wall so I think the temps may be more of an issue in it. I worry if a DWC or Kratky will have problems if the water in the bucket gets too warm. I'm not gonna be running back and forth every few hours to add ice! A autopot with a separate might allow me to place the reservoir outside the tent and even put the air pump right in front of the AC to blow cooler air into the reservoir water. I have both auto and photo seeds, so what do you guys think would be the best route to try? I plan to use Advanced Micro, Grow and Bloom along with Bud Candy. I know cheaper nutes can be found and/or made but this is what I want to use.

I suggest coco (drain to waste) or flood and drain (hydroton). You don't have to worry about water temps like dwc.

Paying for the artwork
Everyone uses something, whether it's expensive or not is based on what you can afford. For me I think the grow, micro and bloom is cheap at under $45 for all three. GH is cheaper but 1. You get what you pay for. 2. Advanced didn't get where they are for no reason. 3. Advanced has better marketing and cooler pictures on there packaging. 4. You gotta pay the cost to be the boss! Lol....Seriously though I don't want to worry about ph and PH Perfect sounds good to me. And yeah I have molasses, floralicious, and Recharge among other things. This is my second grow, so I'm trying something different. Trying to get away from soil.

pH Perfect is about as accurate as light vendors that claim their 100w light is 1000w.

If you're going to grow in anything other than soil then you will have to worry about pH.

It's a 2 x 2 tent. That's not enough space to hassle with hydro, DWC, etc... Throw a pot of soil or coco in there and forget about it. Hydro is great and it scales well for larger grows. But for a grow as small as yours it's really not worth the hassle for 1 or 2 plants.

I think a DTW method would be your best bet. Three gallons in a 2x2 is plenty to fill the tent. If you want to worry less about Ph I would use a buffered media like Promix HP, Berger BM6-HP, Sunshine #4. There is also hempy, coco...you can even use cat litter :p

The best bud i've grown was in straight perlite. I hand watered twice a day dtw. Dynabloom after first week flower , till the end. Never ph'd once in tap water and ppm was around 400. Buddy of mine had his best grow also with perlite and dynagro too.
Coco perlite mix if watering twice a day or drippers arent for you but still want faster growth.
Sunshine #4 advanced is great too if you want a day or 2 between waterings, use hydro nutes or want the ph buffering with lime. Again haved used with never checking ph, with dyna and gh flora trio.

A 2x2 really isn't worth the effort at all, but I want to experiment with techniques I can carry over to my 3x3. I plan to move by or before next summer so I want enough grows to be able to make sound decisions for a full room setup. Plus my 2x2 tent and 2000 watt, 200 watt lamp only cost $59 out of pocket together. It may eventually be good for a mother or for an auto.
