need help convincing a family member...

Hey everybody!

I am a brand new med card holder, and I have a family member who automatically thinks drugs=bad.
Does anyone have links to reference material I can provide to help relieve some of the negative prejudices against MMJ she has stuck in her head?

Thanks guys. I guess I was looking for a less sarcastic answer, with links to reputable sources of information pertaining to the benefits of medical marijuana, but I guess this helps too...
 
Some folks are just stuck on the crap the government has been shoving down the peoples throats the past 60 years. It's hard to change their minds.

I should be more specific. It's my wife. We're both anti government, and it matters what she thinks because I'll never get a good high with her nagging me everytime I smoke...

There is much material out there. What is her specific dislike? Does she think it is devil weed? Is she against every substance that alters your mind like coffee and beer? Does she hate drugs because Nancy Reagan told her too?

she thinks its irresponsible. She seems to think I'll turn into a lazy stoner bum if I start smoking. I'm trying to find information to show her that functional people use weed as a pain reliever without turning into bums.

Well, there IS a chance that you will become a lazy stoner bum. We all take that chance. Some people can smoke daily all day and be productive. Some, like me, can not smoke all day and be productive. I turn into a lazy stoner bum.

The answer is simple. Talk to her, then show her. Actions speak louder than words.
 
If you are both anti-government then it should be obvious that drugs = bad is an artificial distinction drawn up by the government. Nicotine, alcohol, caffeine, tylenol, etc, are all drugs too but the government has arbitrarily placed cannabis in the "bad" category.

Fuck me me a running dude, I know how that goes! My longtime girlfriend has a hangup with God's green gift also. It drives me nuts because when she does smoke, she enjoys it. I guess she is having a hard time sorting out all the propaganda. She can be a real buzz kill though when she decides not to partake. It pisses me off how when I'm high, and she's not, she likes to talk about negative shit! It really pisses me off because I get so tired of explaining how I only grow great assed bud for us. I don't sell the shit and nobody knows I have dank. We both have great jobs. I don't really get her hang up other than she enjoys being a buzz kill. I recently started making edibles. She's actually on board with that. Even when I eat a piece of my ever so super dooper cake and she doesn't, she doesn't try to be a buzz kill. I'm to the point where I hardly smoke anymore. I just eat a piece of cake and I'm cool. Once in a while she'll have a piece too. Good thing I turn out more weed than I can smoke because making edibles sure does gobble up a lot of my product. I just made a batch of coconut oil and put 40 grams in it. That shit was on point! lol

Have her pop another government regulated Xanax. Because everything the government says and tells you is the truth and there only there in your best interest. No but honestly That could be a hard sell . Try to get her to try it and show her the light so to speak, Make sure you dont be a lazy skeezy stoner lol . You seem to already not care if you have already became medical and she was against it, Why care now? If you cant get her to smoke or partake in it somehow then just keep on doing it in front of her all the time and get her desensitized to the idea of it so it is no longer a big deal, If she wont then just go back to fucking her sister.....
