alright my seeds just came today i got 2 greenhouse church 1 skunk #1, barneys bluecheese, paradise whiteberry all fems

veggging= 4 23w 2 30w 2 42w all 6500 k
flowering= 12 42w 2700 k

i have soil and nutes everything and my final task is to build the growbox i am not exactly the craftiest person however my friends are willing to assist, and obviously it needs to house 5 plants but i am struggling to craft one any advice on building a home box that large i have resources (wood and everything) i would go with an old fridge but the growroom is in attic that is accessed by pull down stairs from the ceiling so extremely large and heavy objects are not an easy thing to work with

Any advice? Please help a fellow grower out

is the attic used??...mines just used for storage and no1 ever goes up there.... if thts the case you dont need an enclosed space like a grow box. just put those cfl as close as you can get them without burning to much.

maybe hang sum mylar as the enclosed space?/..

need more info mate

ah yeah sorry but yes its just used for storage and most of it is just unused space, also smell and secretiveness are not an issue, but yeah i thought about just growin in the open but i mean isnt doing that a lot less efficient? sorry if it isnt this will be my first grow as well so im just going off what ive heard but have you grown open like that and if so how were your results? thanks alot man appreciate it rep+

ive not grown open, but i wish i could lol. i only vent to my attic and cant use tht space for growing.... to much hassle gettin up. i use a closet for mine..

but if i could, i would prbably make a frame however big. get that panda plastic (its white on one side black on the other... but no light can get though.) staple it to the frame apart from one side one which id have velcro and there u go lol :). cheers m8

Well if you need room for 5 girls, I suggest a wardrobe or some kind of dresser. I would suggest looking around thrift stores for cheap used solutions. This does two things, keeps costs down but also you wouldn't need to craft anything major. How much space you have? (I mean how big is the opening into the attic)

Weasel- yeah that sounds good, plus a lot easier but by chance do you know of anywhere that may carry this panda plastic? thanks alot man

Dutch- hey man yeah i tried to get a wardrobe but the problem is theres only like a 2 1/2 ft gap to squeeze by to get up the ladder so they are too big but thanks man im considering just hollowing out a smaller dresser and then just building on to it to increase height but that may be a little complicated.

Thats a small ass opening. If i were you, I would invest in a grow tent, this way you could bring it up in pieces/take it down fast. I just saw one today at Canadian tire that was 50 bucks. it even had separate chambers for flower/veg and built in fans.

I've personally never used one, but this one I'm talking about was a thick black fabric, double stiched, came with the option of having a small window in but came with a cover so that no light gets out. If it was me and I didn't have a box already, I would have bought that tent in a second.

go to home depot and look for a closet maid wardrobe cabinet 90-100 bcks. in all reality for somethng that pro looking it would end up costing you close to that to make a diy cab out of plywood. (OF COMPERABLE SIZE)
