Need electrical help. Hooking up multiple fans to one power supply.

So I have this switchable power supply that goes from 12v-36v. I also have three 12v fans. Is it possible to safley hook up all three to one power supply? What type of circuit would be best?

The way I understand it, the voltage should match up but the amperage should be at least the total of all fans you connect. So if you use an ac to dc adapter, the amperage of the adapter should be at least as high as the amperage requirements of all the fans that will be hooked up to it

i'm not sure what pacman is trying to convey...

your power supply needs to stay set at 12v
you'll need to wire your fans in PARALLEL so they all get 12v
each fan will get 1/3 of the electric current from the power supply, this might effect their performance

it'll work fine, as long as you wire them in parallel and keep the power supply at 12v.

Is it possible to set the power supply at 36v, and use some sort of resistors to allow all three fans to pull 12v?
