this is my first grow where i haven't used mh or hps im using 5 4ft florescents and 5 cfl's 2 are 100w equivalent and 3 are 200w equivalent but i have two plants that i absolutely need to start flowering because my set up is in a closet and one is 24in. tall and the other is 20in. tall but i have been using cool white for vegging which was for sure the right bulb for vegging but i have absolutely no idea what type of 48" florescent bulb to use for flowering i know it should be in the red spectrum but am not sure what bulbs are in the red spectrum i have heard to use the daylight bulb from someone which i really didn't know if that was right then i heard to use soft white which i am pretty sure that is for sure not right but i have no idea what so ever so if someone who knows for sure could please let me know asap i would greatly appreciate it! thanks

You should think about getting a 400W HPS or higher for flowering they definetly work the best, if you can't use that then a mixture of blue and red is the best I believe

soft white is the bulbs you want for flowering ... But ive heard and read that mixing all the different spectrums have had positive results ...

so how positive r u on the soft white because it just seemed like it wouldn't be in the red spectrum but if ur positive i'll go with it oh and vaurien if u read up there i said this is my first grow using florescents and i also said i am used to mh and hps but there is a reason i am using florescents and not mh or hps and thats because i can't where i am living now but thanks anyways

awesome i really appreciate it guys. that just really surprises me but thats because i knew not to use it for vegging i knew to use cool white and i never even thought about flowering with it but thanks
