Need Cloning Help.

I am about to take cuttings from my 32 females tomorrow. I am looking to root them in a Rapid Rooter using Clonex Rooting Solution gel. I plan to take the cuttings with a razor blade (maybe a scalpel) and dip them directly into the Clonex solution. I will be trying to take an aggressive angle cut and not waste any time in getting the cutting to the solution and into the peat cube.

1. Should the Rapid Rooter peat cubes be wet before I place the cuttings in them?
a. If not how much should I water?
b. Does the water need any nutrients?
2. Should I scrape or slice the base of the cutting? (Heard that will enhance rooting).
3. Do I need to mist the inside of the dome?
4. What kind of heat and light should I try to have them under?

Any ideas are greatly appreciated. I recently had some clones die. I did not take the cuttings but will be doing so this time. I think the cuttings were in the air too long before being put into a root cube. I again thank all for any help and would love to see multiple ideas.

Thanks
