if they're fruit flies, put out cups of wine. dont use boonsefarm, use something with a higher alcohol %. also put out those fly roll traps. like $1 for a 4 pack at walmart. for how bad your plant looks and how young it is, i would just start over. get some good fresh soil. dont take in plants from anyone or even soil. prevention is key.

are you sure they are fruit flys and not fungus gnats? If you are keeping your soil to moist you'll get fungus gnats. the adults aren't to harmful to your plants but the larva eat your roots.

Fungus gnats, fungus gnats, fungus gnats. Do they seem to hang around the soil? Disturb your plant, and watch the soil, you might even see when pop out of there and fly up. Dry between waterings, to remedy put 1/2-1" sand over the top of the soil, easy peasy. For good measure, also consider gnatrol, AzaMax, application of neem oil+soap+water (or ready-made Doc's neem pestsoap spray), diatomaceous earth, etc. - look into the pest subforum, the stickies will have all you need to know. The plants look pretty far along now, how long have you had the flies and how has the damage progressed?? Good luck and good growin'!

What soil are you using, what nutes have you used, and is the pH you're watering solely that of the solution you're using to water/feed your plants?
