Need advice where to set up grow tent

My plants are getting ready to put in the grow tent that I have currently set up in my attic.I chose this location because I thought it was a good out of the way place. Then it occured to me that with all the temperature flucuation it might be a problem to maintain the correct temps in the grow room. Even though I live in the south where the winters are mild I thought this might not be the best location due to outside temperature flucuations. I own my own home so location is not as big issue but I do want to maintain some degree of security. The temps in the house are much easier to maintain. Need some ideas from people who have who have experienced this dilemma. Is the attic a bad place to set up the grow room?

In my experience attics tend to be a pain in the ass, but they aren't impossible. I've seen several successful attic grows...the winter temps should be fine, but the summer will be frustrating especially if its humid. However, if you have enough cash for ACs in the summer it can work, you'll just need to insulate, and work with the space. Also consider your medium. I watched a friend attempt DWC in his attic, and it worked, but lugging water up that latter was comical to say the least. What are the dimensions?

I might use my attic but it is gonna get cold and I live in the south . I dont want to freeze up my plants . How about a room where no one will go , if your attic is that big then you must have a pretty big area beneath it . Plus like rslaven says all that up and down with water and supplies , the temps should be consistent cause that effects growth and could slow you down at the least. If I was in ma attic with a setup I'd have to insulate an area and partition it off for heat and cooling cause I'd want to use it year round .
