Need a little help with my ventilation

hello all. its been a long while since I posted again. A lot of things have changed and now I am being forced to rebuild after 5 great years of success. But anyways on to the details.

This grow is inside, in a closet. the measurements are 6.5x3.5x7. At this point I already have my 3 600w hung and ready to run. all of them are in cool tubes. the problem lies in the ventilation system. The general ventilation is supplied by a 6" inline fan attached to a filter then pumped into the duck work for the burnt out ac/heater unit, to be redistributed to the house. The lights air come from a 6" also. the intake for this one is in the door.(it was old and ruined anyway so why not), It then goes to the fan, across the lights, and into the attic.

The intakes for general ventilation are also in the door, and are passive

The temperature of the room outside the closet is usually 72, and with a single light on in the grow the temp may be 84 or even as high as 90's if all lights are on.

I have another 6" and filter should I install them as well to pull more air through the room? add an intake fan, or change the ventilation setup all together.

Thanks in advance

u are going to need to re design the system @good ol' boy

u should have the cooltubes drawl in fresh air from the outside (complete by passing pulling air from the area )
as for in the grow area if u are not using a powered intake i go with a 8 inch fan and fliter system to suck out the hot used air and to drawl in the cool air (rem your passive intake needs to be double the size of your exhaust)

if u do go powered intake then u can match the 2 fans .........240 6 inch booster

to make it more effective off the back of the fan u run some ducting .....in the grow area u get a old paint can that has weight to it and a piece of pine fur strip (98 cents for 8 foot at home depot) ...clean the can and then place the piece of wood against it then tape the wood to the can (u have just made a weighted stand to clip on a fan too) get a simple 6 inch clip on fan that moves and then u take the ducting to the back of the filter box and make it end right under the fan (so the fan is spreading the cool air out over the tent as it moves)

I was afraid you might say that.
I understand that I need the colder air running from the cooler room over the lights, then out the ceiling. But Im wondering if I really need to upgrade fans to an 8 ". I also understand that my passive needs to be double the exhaust. I find myself curious as to whether simple running another 6" with filter through the exhaust area. would it cool down the room enough. This would give me 2 exhaust filtered of course and 1 through the tubes. im not lazy or anything I just don't want to have to make any more holes to fix before I move lol. But if it has to be done it has to be done. please chime in and give me your thoughts . that being said thank you for the reply

well first off a powered intake of cooled air is a must

your system needs a complete redesign the 3 600s u need to replace them they are issue the heat and the venting
i am currently messing around with HID and LED ........i would tell u the same since u want a hid
your area is 6.5x3.5x7.........a 1000w is more then enough power for the area with the only 3.5 a good lining with white flat paint will have a high reflective ........as for the side just get some a apollo 300w led (amazon it) 2 of those on the side (if u have the cash go 600w matrix S ) they are LED so they get in deeper then Hid so it improves the denseness of the buds and reduces the fluffy buds

the remove the 2 extra Hids will drop the temp move to a 1000w only with a cross system drawl (it is drawling air from outside the grow air) u should be good 6 inch on a carbon scrubber (a inline fan not a booster 400 cfm not 260 cfm) the outside air passive u need in lower 68 (what i have to run at for the whole room cooling temps in the upper part are 77) with a powered intake (matching the fan exhaust) u would be ok with 72

here is a store filter matched to 6 inches
http://www.amazon.com/Horti-Control-DS6-Dust-Shroom/dp/B0046UWI14

but u need to remove 2 of those lights ...............less repairs less power use less heat more money starting up ...but save money in long run on power and (up side LED is 50,000 hours bulbs most growers run them 12/15000 then replace them unless they have a booster to regain lost lumens......the power drawl they actually do is about 60/65% 300w is 175 180w )

if u get the matrix S they have 3 built in modes grow flower UV/finishing.......so this is a cool thing u have no idea how much it helps UV and Co2 but that is me rambling

good luck

edit
oh with 1 1000w a booster fan will work to cool it .......240/260 one with only being one in a direct line

I thank you for your great info kind sir. I do not consider you rambling at all. I do believe you are right on with the idea that the two other lights are too much and that a 1000w would be better al around. I have used two lights successfully in there but that was before the wife and yada yada. although I have not yet dabbed in leds or co2 I would be interested in working up a closed system and running co2. the closet thing I came to running co2 was while making wine in bottles, running air tube into a bucket of water and then had a small fan blowing it across the under canopy as the bubbles came through the water. any way thanks again.

yep mash buckets work ........but it is only effect for a few days 5 at most (made moonshine the highest ABV is 23 % then the yeast dies off ) that takes 12 lbs of sugar and 6 gallons of water get 1 gallon of 140proof moonshine
2 buckets on auto plants showed me it was effective like hell so i went 20 lb tank your area is smaller then mine so it would work for u too but u need refills about every 25 days........the only issue u will have is the heat build up when the fan is off most of us use AC in the room to counter it then u only need to cycle every few hours as long as u are feeding Co2 and cooling

i am about to move to a propain co2 gen .....but i need a 2ton mini spilt before i do a 6000btu window shaker is not going to work
