I recently purchased a Bluelab PH pen after my milwakee ph600 went wonky and was going to give a review for others but alas, there is no review section!
The pen so far has worked flawlessly. I purchased the additional calibration/cleaning kit with it.
Pros:
Stable reading. It doesn't bounce around like the milwakee and takes less time to zero in on the ph.
Waterproof. We all know that dropping your ph pen into the solution is going to happen sooner or later. I have submerged it to test and no water has leaked in.
Storage: The cap has a sponge you can add water to keeping the probes moist. No need for a glass to set it in overnight.
Accurate: Two point calibration. I have dropped it on the concrete floor, dunked it in the nastiest fish shit mix you can imagine and I have yet to see it off when I put it in the calibration solution.
Kit : This is great. Comes with a soft bristled toothbrush and cleaning solution in addition to plastic cups to pour the calibration solutions into.
The probe isn't a piece of felt that can soak up all the nasty stuff you feed your plants. Looks quite durable and less prone to being tainted.
Cons: Pricey. Cost me about $130 with the kit. I am hoping this will last a year or two. My ph600 lasted about 6 months.
