Nature's Nectar, The New Hydro-Organic?

Hey guys, I'm new to this site but I have done a few good soil grows in the past... ok the bud was top notch organic, not to toot my own horn. Anyway, I recently read an issue of Growing Edge Magazine (March/April 08 ) and they reviewed the new Nature's Nectar organic series of nutrients. The claims the company makes are pretty wild:

-No bubbling of reservoir, in fact it says you should NEVER aerate your res to prevent bacterial buildup... kinda counter intuitive from what we commonly know.

-No Ph adjustments, EVER. Hard to believe, to say the least.

-%100 percent soluble. In-line filters are recommended, but for bacterial/fungal growth only.

-No change in NPK value from vegetative to bloom phase.

This sounds like a LOAD OF BS, to anyone who has ever done hydroponics, let alone organic hydroponics... But the test that was done on tomato plants shows it can work! At least as far as a small test can prove.

The test itself was on 4 tomato plants of two varieties, planted in Easy2Grow AutoPots. The medium was half cocotek, half perlite. Now most growers are thinking "passive hydro, thats TOO easy." Hell I put the article down for a day after I read that. But the autopots utilize 1/4" drip-line tubing under VERY low pressure. Thats just BEGGING for the clog of a lifetime. If it had sediment, it would clog the lines so badly they would have to be replaced. (I have used the botanicare line in a similar, albeit less sophisticated system and it did exactly that.) After I remembered that I thought this could be an interesting test.

Despite a setback in the test (next time the tester will remember to check his grow room temps) he RAVED about the tomatoes, said they were the best he has ever had. Not to mention the plants looked pretty damn good!

Now I'm not here to advertise for this product, fuck that shit... I'm here to get people's opinions on the feasibility of this kind of product even EXISTING. That and if anyone has used them I would love to know what you think! I can't stand synthetic fertilizers, literally, chemical burns.

Hope I wasn't too formal or long winded for my first post... I can ramble.

Yeah, I read that article, and thought the same things as you. I've never seen that stuff available, or talked with anyone who used it. But I've grown 8 crops with PureBlendPro, and am now trying FloraNova. I'm sure it's similar to those.

The only claim that I have trouble with is the res aeration. If the water is not moving, the DO will be consumed, and the critters will die, and the stuff usually starts to stink.

HTH

I been using nn for three grows now-ww and now sfvog It's not hydro- I'm using 50/50 fox f /perlite - so far all I had to do was add cal/mag. It's crazy cuz the ph is like 5.3 or lower- ppm looks low but my plants look great. - I'm just not sure y I'm not getting the og taste out of my plants(on 2nd grow)- imma do a taste test with botanicare soon.

:-P I have used these products for many months now. Veg, and flowering. The Nitrogen formula replaced Fox Farm Grow Big, and the Phosphorus replaces Guano. I am currently using Fox Farm Bloom, and have not tried the NN Potassium formula yet. The girls are in soil, not hydro. And they are very happy, healthy, plants.

I have just started aerating my 'mixtures' and that is going well. The beneficials activate at 24 hours and die off at 48, so timing has been an issue with the tea.

The 3 Natures Nectar products are available in Arizona at Sea of Green Hydroponics. They may also mail order, but you would have to verify that.

Also, if you check post #5 in the following thread, you'll find that Rize also uses NN to enhance his brews. I am not promoting anyones opinion, so you'll have to judge for yourself about the info. Personnaly, I think he sounds credible. Anybody that can make pink ice hash out of Subcools Plush Berry has my vote. LOL:leaf:
