Nice place you guys have here....

My wife thought it would be a good idea to throw some bagseeds in a pot of soil this summer, and one sprouted. I decided to use the power of the internet to see if I could turn it in to some smokage. By the time I finished reading the forums here, I was hooked. I now have a grow tent, 8 bulb T-5 flouro, 600w HPS and a 2x2 E & F setup. I ordered some PPP and WW from Nirvana two weeks ago, but have not yet received them. (Keeping my fingers crossed)

Even though it's in soil, I'm using the bagseed plant to test lighting, temperature, humidity and airflow in my new setup. I have yet to post a question in the forums, as most questions have already been asked and answered. I will, however, post pictures and a description of my finished set up to ask for tweaking advice.

I think I've got my set-up in place. Still tweaking, and working on temperature control. Here's a list of my gear:

I haven't opened the GH nutes yet as there are so many choices and opinions out there. GH's feeding schedule shows changing the nutes every week! I want an easy to use "first timer" system that will give me decent yields, and won't keep me dialing in the numbers 24/7. So, I'm still researching that......

As you can see, the bagseed test dummy has survived the baking, overwatering, high pH'ing and overlighting. I think the 8 bulb T5 fixture is too hot for this setup, so I'm playing with the number of bulbs being lit. I'm waiting for some Nirvana feminized PPP and Snow White seeds, so I'll veg the test plant until I receive the seeds and then flower to sex it. If it's a male, I'll germinate. If female, I'll use it to test out my bloom set-up...

Thanks for the hello. Got my PPP and White widow from Nirvana two days ago. Scarified the seeds and used the germination plugs they sell. Put them in a nice bowl with saran wrap and a towel on top. All nestled nicely on a thick towel and heat pad on low. Asked my wife to burp it every twelve hours... Came home from a business trip, and checked them. I opened the wrap and fucking steam came out!!! "Somehow" the pad had been turned to medium..... Mr first grow is coming along swimmingly.....

One plant had already sprouted about a half an inch above the soil, and is a lovely pale white color..... Cooled them off, dried it out a bit and re-covered the bowl. I'll check on them tomorrow morning. Hopefully something will grow.
