I have a Nicor 2x4 troffer led light in 3500k. I guess it's meant for warehouses or whatever? Tried it out, it will veg plants, wondering if I can hot rod it and to do so I need to figure out what the hell it is. I went all through Nicors website and could not find a mention of the chips used. Apologies for the poor quality images, I took a bunch of pics and these two were the best. They look samsungish? Or am I wishful thinking on cheapo stuff? If any forum can eyeball this, I figure this one can.

Yeah the frame is nice, I've got a bunch of eb strips I could use..... Had it apart before when I got it, the driver is not that imposing compared to even a smaller MW. Maybe I'll keep it for seedlings and clones.

What driver does it have? If you run at half current you might increase effeciency enough to make it worth it

I'll get in there and get details in the am, lights off time now for the room it's in. Just spent 20 minutes trying to glean ANY info from the manufacturer. No dice. Just "industry standard luminescence" bs. They even have a proud explanation of how the data presented allows you to compare to other lights without having to take the components used into account. Just tell me what's in it! Fahhhhccck. lol

I'll try for better pics of the leds as well while I have it down. It's over an artichoke plant and a lemon tree that're in for the winter, seem happy.

My camera sucks. I really need to invest in a dslr. This thing seems very low power. The light is at least preserving plants in veg, that may be all the electronics in it are good for.nicor.jpg
