What up to all the excellent people at R.I.U. !! I'm new to this site, and kinda new to growin again after about a 7 year hiatus. I've grown both in and outdoor before, always did well, and now i have my medical recommendation, so i'm jumpin right back in! I'm doin a little indoor, but i'm not really set up for it, so i'm mainly focusing my efforts this summer on an outdoor grow.

I started with bagseed, germinated about 60 beans, ended up giving away 25 nice sized starts cause i had too many, and now i've got 35 outside, spread over three areas. Two ares i've got them in the ground, and the other area stays too moist so i've got 10 gallon grow bags set on 1 ft. high platforms that i made up.

I didn't really plan on startin a thread, but reading everyone elses has got me all excited, so i figured what the hell! So i'm just gonna post pics and tell a little bit about what i'm doin, and we'll just see how it goes.

Feel free to comment or ask questions if you like!:peace:

Ahh...the great outdoors! These first pics are some of the ones i've got in the ground, and some scenery shots. Bein' out in the woods is one of the best highs to me, especially when i'm high!:joint:

Already i've encountered 1 black bear, numerous deer, 1 grouse that scared the livin' shit outta me (shot out of the brush 'bout 2 feet from my feet makin a serious sound), i small weasel, rabbits, turkey vultures, eagles, and oh yeah...don't let me forget the bugs. Always the bugs, and they do love to come say hi. Fuckers!

I made up my own soil mix and hiked it in (fun). It's got Black Gold Organic, Fox Farm's Happy Frog Organic, worm castings, lots of extra perlite, and dolomite lime ( 1 cup per cu. ft. ). It's nice and duffy and i'm hopin' they dig it.

So here we go....

This is the spot where they are in the 10 gl. grow bags. It's a nice spot other than too high of a water table, and it's a lot closer to home, so maintenance is easier. I made the platforms outta 2x4's and plywood. 1 ft. tall and 20 in. sq. Drilled some holes in the plywood so standing water wouldn't just sit there. Rattle canned 'em olive green. Easy peasy.:blsmoke:

A couple i started out under shade cloth, and the others i kept in the partial shade to harden them off, and they are startin' to kick. I love watchin' 'em grow. Some of the leaves are getting HUGE already. I also started pretty much LST'n the bigger ones, and most of my other outdoor ones as well. They were gettin' inadequate light at home so they didn't start out that bushy, and i want to expose them to as much light as possible.

I spread my shit out, don't grow in plots, all of em are at least 50 feet apart, and one doesn't necessarily lead to another. I do that for the punk ass rip off faggots that are out there. My shit is hidden though, and i've never lost one on a previous grow, so i'll keep my fingers crossed.

your sure going through alot of work for a medical grow why not your back yard??

What up Norcal! The answer to your question is that i don't have a back yard (not really), live in a duplex, and have got some older neighbors that i don't want to antagonize more than i already do.

I'm doin a little ( micro, almost ) grow indoors with a 175 wt. in a little enclosure i just built, doin' 2 girls, scrog style to keep my height down and maximize tops off the two girls. I'll probably throw some pics if that in here somewhere; not really enough to start an indoor grow thread, but i'll share anyway.:peace:

Hey man, great pics. Plants look awesome. Thirty-five is a bunch of plants, you're going to have one heavy harvest. Sucks you have to do your med grow like a guerrilla farmer, but at least you get a trespassing charge if you get caught instead of manufacturing ;)

Good luck bro!

Alot of these pics are from a couple weeks to a month ago, and a few of them are more recent. Now that i'm doin this thread, i'll start posting pics as i take them.

Here's a couple with the shade cloth, above and below. This worked really well to harden them off. It was unseasonably warm ( 70's ) when i put them out, and this definately helped acclimate them to the sun.

Hey Angus, thanks for stoppin by! You're right, 35 is alot, but it's nature, and you can never count on anything right? I figure i'll lose a few, or have a couple that don't do as well, that always seems to be the case anyway, so i decided to do a bit more than planned. They are all girls though, showed their sex before i put them out, so i won't have to pull any males. Nice.:blsmoke: And yeah, i wish i could do my back yard like fdd, but as for the trespassing, if they catch me, they might charge me......but first they have to catch me8-). :peace:

Like i said, rip off punk ass faggots!! I've got a 5 ft. staff with a 10 in. spike stickin outta the end and i swear i will go straight Lord Of The Flies on those weed lovin' fuckers!

Here's a few pics of my little indoor setup. I was mistaken when I posted earlier that I had a 175 wt., it's a 250 wt., and i just added 4 cfl's to boost my lumens a little bit more.

I built a little Scrog table in about an hour, and i'm training the tops through the screen. Both plants had been topped early on, and i just tried my hand at fimming the newer tops. Was successful on most of them; couple turned into 4 tops from 1, and couple turned into 6 tops in some funky but cool way. We'll see what happens.

Oh yeah, i also have a couple of momma's in those pics, i haven't flipped to 12/12 yet so i have them up there catchin some extra light.

I will post some current pics of all my outdoor stuff this weekend after i go check on them.

Until next time...:peace:...and feel free to comment!! I enjoy the feedback!

very good grow you may not have grown for a while but it doesnt seem like youve forgotten how to do it
keep up the good work

I like the little indoor setup !!!! Nice

Thanks for the props bro! It's just a little thing, but i'll throw pics in here every few days or so. I'm gonna flip 'em in about a week; just want the tops to grow a little more so i can do a little more training.

Thanks to you too! I guess it's kinda like ridin' a bike eh? It's never to late to learn new stuff though and i've picked up alot of good info following the threads from all the rightous people here at R.I.U. I'm already tryin lots of new ( to me ) things this time around and hope to just get better and better. The ladies deserve no less, right?

how tha hell u get a card for 35 plants ?

Here in Washington state the Medical Marijuana Law is based on a Dr.'s recommendation. There is no prescription or State issued card. The law allows you to posess a " sixty day supply ". A sixty day supply is 28 dry, cured ounces of marijuana, and 15 plants. You can possess more if you can show medical necessity, and my Dr. has recommended that I posess as many plants as i feel necessary to maintain my sixty day supply. There are some gray areas of the law still and they are working things out, but as long as you aren't going buck wild, you really have no worries. Hope that answers your question!!:blsmoke:
Nice opp yah got going on here.. Im gonna have to sit this one in.

Thanks Bud! I'm tryin anyway! Pull up a chair, i'll be postin frequent pics and sharin' info as i go. Thanks for stoppin by!

I'm goin out in the mornin so i'll have lots of new pics tomorrow! Stay tuned....:bigjoint:

SO , THEY ARE ALLOWING U 1/2 ZIP A DAY . THATS SOME CRAZY SHIT, LMFAO  ID B TOREUP FROM THA FLOORUP EVERYDAY ID HAVE 2 GET IN GOOD WITH THA LOCAL CAB COMPANY bongsmilie

So i went out yesterday and checked all the ladies that i have planted in the ground. Things are progressing well, all have shown new growth, though not alot since last week as it has been mostly overcast and raining on and off. Hit 'em with some more nutes ( i'm using Age Old Grow 12-6-6 right now, hitting 'em every week, with a small dose of Earthjuice Microblast every other week, also a few drops of Superthrive per gallon most times. )

Like i said before, started LSTing most of them last week, and it's amazing how the lower growth responds when given the extra sun! You can see in some of the pics. LSTing obviously isn't for everyone or every grow, although i imagine most strains would respond very well to the treatment, but these started out a little sparse, without much side branching, so i'm just tryin' to fill 'em out a little bit, ya know?

My main concern and by far the biggest problem so far has been the god%$#@&$* mutha fu@#^&$# %$#@licking slugs! I initially started out with slugbait around them, but as this attracts the slugs and snails before killing them, i let it lapse to see if they would be okay without it. BIG MISTAKE on my part!!!! They are killin me!!! Wholesale damage on some plants, minor on some, and some relatively unscathed. They love to eat the new growth though, starting from the bottom up, the tender new shoots coming from the main terminal stalk, and in a couple of instances attacking the stalk as well. You can even see the trails of slug poop on some of the leaves, howd'ya like ta put that in your pipe and smoke it!!!! Fuckers!!! I don't know why with all the lovely green growth around they have to start eating my girls; maybe has something to do with the native species having some sort of resistance or natural deterrent built in. And of course i forgot to bring my slugbait with me this time; all i had was a bag of deer repellant made of blood meal and cayanne pepper, so i spread that liberally around the base of each plant, kinda as a stop gap measure until next week. I took a roving slug and put it on the mixture and it instantly shrivelled up and started cryin' and dyin' so i'm hoping that will at least minimize further damage until next week.

All in all, everything is okay, comin' along, and i'm hoping to see an explosion of growth this next month. Sorry if i'm a little long winded, just tryin to give an informative update! I'll be checking my ones in the grow bags in the next couple a days and will update with those as well.

If anyone has any good home remedies for slugs and snails, please share!! I'm open to any and all suggestions!:-(

Anyway some pics...if i can figure out how to post pics and text to go with it, i'll do that, in the meantime, here's lots of pics!!
