Hey RIU, so I just visited my local hydroponics store and picked up some food for my babies. Now, if your a newb, like so, seeing ##/##/## on bottles after bottles will drive you nuts. I ended up picking 5-0-1 for my youngins which I think will do just fine considering they are a week old, but could somebody please explain these bottles. What the heck is grow. micro, and bloom.

*hi'gh. sorry about moving your thread out of AMC, but i feel you would get more in-regards to your Qs in this forum. thank you for posting @t RIU:eyesmoke:

Grow - Meaning more Nitrogen and nutes promoting veg state. (beginning)
Miro - micro nutes are usually related to fast acting/water soluble nutrients.
Bloom - Meaning more Phosphorus and nutes promoting flower state. (after veg state)

ClosetVille,

HOLD THE PHONES!!!

You've only got 1/3 of what you need. Sounds like you grabbed the micro out of a three part system of Micro, Grow, and Bloom. General Hydroponics being the largest makers of that but there are a few others like HighLife4Me said.

It's not the end of the world but you should be thinking about getting the other two and use them as directed.

In a nutshell you need all three and you use all three at the same time only in different ratios. General rule of thum is you think Grow-Micro-Bloom and for a grow food you use 3-2-1 That's three parts of the grow bottle to two parts of the micro and one part bloom. Then later you can use the 1-1-1 for a bit or go to a bloom mix of 1-2-3.
