I was wondering if anybody as ever tried to use the mylar survival blankets as a substitute for mylar sheets. It seems like they're made out of the exact same shit but you can grab the blankets for a few feet a buck as opposed to a few bucks for a foot.

i use them, they are a pain in the ass to put up straight. they get all crinkled up and rip easily.

Make sure to get the ones that are like 2 bux at walmart or somwhere. Dont get the 5 dollar one ...they are more cloudy with a orange back. look at the 11 week bud question post.

I threw one of those bad boys up in my room earlier this month, whether it's too wrinkled or not to do any good I don't know but it makes me feel better

I have them in my grow box. They seem to work fine. However, since I could not get it all to lay completely flat there are air pockets under it and it could be contributing to my heat problem. They are not exactly light proof either, you can see through them. While they seem to fine, I think I am going to remove it and just paint the box white.

i used them also. but due to them being impossible to put in my box without wrinkling it, i now have painted my new box flat white.:hump:
