I have one white widow plant that has been budding since may 9th and the hairs started turning orange and brown and look as though they are dying. There are tricomes all over the living hairs and small leaves. I have been watering as needed with water at about 6.5 ph it is planted in fox farm soil and under a 400w hps that is about 18" away. The brown hairs are showing all over the plant in small areas. I dont know what to do please help. Any advice is greatly appreciated

I've never grown, but I've been studying a lot over the last 2 months - sounds like your about 6 weeks or so into flowering. Sounds like harvest time is right around the corner. From what I've read, and watched - folks say when 2/3s of the hairs are red - thats harvest time. Otherwise you may need to post some pics for the experts to diagnose.

The hairs WILL turn orange/brown as the flowers mature. Get yourself a Radio Shack pocket microscope and look at the trichomes.
