My VERY FIRST GROW. PICS!! Comments PLEASE.

Hey All,
Ok so this is my very first attempt at growingmy own. My babies are 3 weeks and one day old. I germinated the seeds on 4/26, planted them on 4/28 and had sprouts by 4/30. Using 4 cfls in a rubbermaid tote box that I covered in tin foil. I
A true poor mans grow. MG seedling soil, all purpose fert, and bloom fert. Keeping the lights on 24 hrs. This is just some bagseed I had for a while. The herb in the darker colored pot was some nice goods and I think the light tan pot is just some mids.






As I said a true poor mans grow. Rubbermaid tote, tinfoil, 4 cfls, 4 clamp work lights, and of course...duct tape. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE comment. I'd like to know what everyone thinks. Oh and before you say it I can not afford $35 for fox farm ferts or any other than what I have. I'm doing what is called making due. I absolutely want your comments though so please leave some. Thanks for stopping by all.

Hey thanks a lot guys. I'm trying. I'm telling you I think they're growing on pure love because I am being very attentive to them. i check on them like twice or 3 times a day, lol. It's sick I know. Any way thanks for the word of encouragment, I'll keep you guys posted. I was thinking of trying to load up some videso I've taken too. One every three day from the 10th to the 19th. You can see some serious growth.

well just and FYI...most noobs kill their plant because they wont leave it alone and keep picking at. moving this, changing that....all that stresses the plant and can kill it if stresses to much

Thanks man, I've been doing my best to observe only. The only time I change things are when there's something wrong, Light burns, wind issues, and leaning (i rotate them when I see them leaning one way or the other) other than that i try to let it go. I spend more time reading and researching shit on here, youtube and other places.
In my findings they look pretty good for 3 weeks I think. I just hope they produce.

Look great, yours are looking why better then mine planted close to the same time. I have grown hundreds outdoors with sucess. When I moved indoors my cocky and lazy habits cost me 50.00 in autoflower seeds. Live and learn.

How many true watts are your flouros. They look like 26's they will veg good but when it comes bud find some money to buy more lights. At least 8. What kind of soil you got?

Check out Stones Journal He got a great yield off a CFL grow not unlike your's.

is there a vent in that bucket or does ur fan just blow warm air around in there?

Looks good man for a poor mans setup. But hey im in a cardboard box (temp). But i think u might wanna get ur lights a little more closer. Lol i have that same fan it blows pretty good for a $5 fan from wally world

what up mkmkli49 . they are lookin pretty good for a budget grow dude. they look healthy and look like they growth rate are doin good. the only thing i would suggest is to swap out that foli for mylar. mylar is alot more reflextive and it shouldnt be more than like ten bux for a whole roll of it. probably enough for this grow and the next one. but keep me posted. i am attempting my first outdoor grow now with ganja dwarf x lowryder. later man. good luck!

the true budget grow. when i was 16 it cost me zero dollars to grow pot. Unless count the sack of weed i smoked to get the seed.

mylar is expensive and hard to find. Flat white paint would be better but the foil is better then nothing. i don't think you have enough light to worry about hot spots.

dude mylar is fifteen bucks for a 25 foot roll that is 55 inches wide!

Hey guys sorry for taking so long getting back to you all but, THANK YOU ALL so much for the feed back. Now I'm gonna go back through them all and try to respond to everyone.

Marksk85: Nope no vents. I just have a 4" fan hanging on the inside of the box pointing downward and a standing fan oscilating right outside the box. Not conventional methods by any means I'm sure but, hey man it's bagseed and I'm just trying it out and praying for the best, lol.

AzSmokeAz: The lights are usually about 7-8" off the plants, I've found any closer tends to start yellowing them. I've been keeping a really close eye on them and adjusting everything I see while trying to leave the plants themselves alone as much as possible. Thanks for the comments man. I probably have the same fan you do, lol. I love walmart.

WickedInstincts: Hey thanks alot for the comments. I agree about the mylar, I've looked into it and It's not too expensive but, I haven't come across any in any stores yet. Like I said I'm just trying this out so I don't wanna put crazy effort into it and hey I figure until I come across some mylar the foil seems to be doing good. but thanks and as soon as I do come across some I'll have some more pics for you to check out.

EVERYONE: Thank you all for your comments and for checking out the grow. I cant wait til its time to start flowering these babies. I'm not really great on navigating this website yet but I will definitely keep posting stuff in this thread so if anyone's interested in seeing how they grow, here's where we'll be, lol.

Oh by the way if anyone gets a chance to grab any of either the NL #5 x Haze or the Sour Diesel that's going around right now, I HIGHly reccommend it!!!! + =

Good Job looking grt check my grow out using CFL planted around same time

Oh by the way I don't know the true wattage of the flouros I threw the packages out and the grow isn't in my house but, as soon as I can get over there, which is generally every day, I'll check into it. I do plan on getting some 2700k soft whites for flowering, that's about the last money I'll probably end up spending on this grow.
