My Tap Water PPm is 63, is this possible??? New PPm Meter

I get my calibration fluid at my local grow store I always get the 7.0 PH and 1500 PPM .. If you dont have a grow store near you , you are probably going to have to order it online

Mine starts out at 0 and I let it creep to 20 or so before replacing the membrane.

This isn't a substitute for calibrating your meter, but don't forget to get a water quality report from your utility company. They provide these free of charge and will tell you what ppm you can expect (may vary seasonally) as well as other things like calcium, sodium, etc.

No you dont need R/O water but just let your water sit to evaporate any chemicals in the water that might hurt the plant.

Don't waste your money and water (R/O filters produce a lot of waste water). I did my first grow (picture in my avatar) using my 500 ppm tap water and it turned out great, so I would not be worried about 63.

my tap is 280-300 ppm I wouldn't worrie about r/o if your under 150ppm outta tap anything over 200ppm is hard and should be reduced but does not mean it wont work...you should be fine

I say no, you want 900 total... I personally don't go over 1000 for flower and around 600 for veg. My tap is 250 PPM & full strength nutes for me come out to about 650 veg & 950 flower... That's in my DWC the ladies seem to do better at around 900 PPM

That's good news for you because you do not need to use RO or bottled water to filter your tap water.

no you add the two, you dont put in 900 nutes of you want 900 ppm and your water is 250, you would add 650 instead
