my setup-need advice please (pics)

I have seven plants flowering in a baby crib under a 600w hps. the grow dimensions are roughly 4.5' x 2.5' and as tall as the ceiling. the plants are 2 weeks flowering, and growin like crazy. im tying them down all the time to try to make kind of a screenless SCROG effect, ya know? so im wondering should i lose the crib and just put all these on the floor of the room so i can add more to the group? or do u think they can all grow to their full potential in this small space? theyre spreading the fuck out. i just ordered nice seeds and have a vegging mother plant and have two seedlings and four cloning, so there will need to be more room eventually.

so i guess what im asking is would it be smarter to get rid of the crib and put all the plants on the floor? the hps is attached to the crib, so id hafta figure out another way to hang it. im in an apartment and not sure about hanging the hps from hooks and shit in the cieling. plus i dont have a stud finder. any suggestions? i use the small closet space in this guest bedroom to keep my vegging plants.

Weight might be an issue.. But if the crib can handle it AND if you have enough head room for the grow then why fiddle.

yes I would put them on the floor. As fas as hanging the light from the ceiling; If you tap around you will notice that the joist location will sound much different from void space so when you are pretty sure tap a finish nail in the area to locate the joist and if you miss it is a simple fill. great pics and I wish you the best.

BTW nice grow!1 Well you can get toggle bolts from the Hardware store..Right through the ceiling..or a closet rod with plastic wall anchor. and as far as putting them on the floor, do you think the crib would be worth using for something else? vegging or early flowering chamber or something and then have another flowering chamber on the floor in front of the crib? but then id hafta get another hps.

if i just took the crib out and put the plants on the floor, how big of space could i use under that 600? say 5x5? thats more than double the size right now

i would think that if you have enough room then sure, use it as a mother chamber or nursery. That way you could always have the Kine. Perpetual grows are SO the way to grow. If I can upgrade my electric service I want to increase mine grow to 8-10 tubs, with a harvest every 2 weeks.. I shouldn't run out that way..a least not as often*g*
