Congratulations! It feels good to see that first seed sprout huh? After my seedlings sprouted those water leaves this weekend, I put them under a daylight CFL about 3 inches away--they're looking like champs, recommend you do the same!

i would but the light on them now, it shouldnt hurt them, but dont put the light so close it burns the plant, ur in the hardest stage of the grow, so be careful on what u do..

Yes once you see leaves def turn lights on. what kinda lights are you using? what medium are you growing in? nutes? type of enviroment? next time you water add a drop of b1 to a gallon (superthrive) first 2 weeks they say are the hardest good luck

wat up weedman? Yea I dont think that hurts the plant in any way, i tend to do the same thing if its taking a while to do it itself. Depending on wat light u are using you can start its cycle. If using a hps or mh then u should prolly wait a lil bit, or keep them at a distance but if u are using floros or cfl's then yea get that light on em and start to grow. Good luck.

thank you all for your support...im very happy they popped out but idk anything about lights but im using the one that are twirly looking not the old round ones..the energy saving ones but yeah i havent watered em since i put them in the soil its been three days..but the soil looks pretty damp..any suggestions????

sounds like cfl's u need to make sure they are 6500k for the veg and i think its 2700k for flowering. anyone correct me if im wrong, i use mh and hps. anyways yea put those on em and let em grow, u can put them realy close to because they dont get that hot.

I usually put the lights on as soon as I put the seed in the soil, I know it prolly doesnt do anything.. but if they pop out in the middle of the night, then they have the light.

Maybe Im doing things wrong, but ive always put lights on em even before they pop outta the soil.

also when they are seedlings they dont need as much water as when they get bigger so u wont have to water very much at all. be careful dont over water.

leave atleast 3-4 inches, cuz even tho they are cfls, they still get kinda hot. I used 26W cfls , and I had heat problems cuz I had em at like 2-3 inches. Make it 4 inches and u should be ok.

yes you are right on the color temps WWW

if you put that little seedling in soil inside a plastic party cup you'll be just fine, put the CFL 3" above the top of the seedling, and blow a fan on the cup, make sure its not too strong to blow it over tho

thanks to you all im very thankful id be very lost and my seedling prolly would have died if it wasnt for all your guys help thanks to you all again.... any more tips i should use to be on the safe side??

until your seedling has grown three to four set of leaves (nodes) use warm 70F (not hot) water to mix your 1/4 nutes in and hand feed them
