My Power Skunk Are Scrawny

I've got 5 Power Skunk going as well as 5 Armaggedon. Both from G13 Labs. I'm growing in one gallon pots to keep the size down. After vegging a month the PS are 2-feet tall and have few branches or structure. They have been getting 24-8-16 while vegging.

Question -- What can I do to get the PS to form denser bud sites?

your plants sound like they're stretching. let's see pics.

if they are stretching, then you need more light. I take it you're using CFL's, in which case they need to be VERY close to the plants.

give us more details, maybe some pics, and we'll be able to diagnose the situation

I've been using a 1000W vegging bulb on a 18/6 light schedule. The PS have gotten so close to the light their crowns were starting to crisp and I had to move them away from the light. I'll try to post a picture but haven't had luck previously when trying to post pix on another site.

It looks to me like the genetics of the Power Skunk are determining the characteristics of the plants. There are spaces of 5 inches on the stalks between some of the leaf sets. I've heard that bending these kind of plants will force more budding sites along the stem. I have the Casteneda Bible but it is weak on actual pictures of how to go about tying up a plant. Any suggestions?

i've got white widow, sensi g13xhp, white russian, durban poison (a pure sativa), and power skunk from g13 labs... going right now...

the Power Skunk, by far, is the ugliest plant i had in vegatative. I wasn't even going to take clones from it i was so disgusted with its growth pattern... but i needed a few more clones. I'll have to prune, top, fim, bend, twist, lst, hst, and every dang thing else w/this plant i'm sure... but i needed a few more clones so i clones the least attractive of the five mothers and killed the rest.

so far i am not impressed with it at all, maybe it will do something 'powerful' in flowering. heres hoping.

DaGambler -- Sounds like you are having the same result with the Power Skunk that I am. The 5 Armaggedon I've got going are much more squat and roundish. The Arm. have also responded well to my attempts to trim them. I "did" a modified FIM on them and now the crowns have 4 or 5 colas each. The PS did not react as well with most of them just regrowing a 2-cola top. Resaerch continues......

man , they seem to be a let down- the power factor in the name just seems like a well we cant call it super , and just skunt doesnt hold attention like it used to . . .
i admit i never germed them all , but im not so sad i lost a few either.
Tried to top my little girly the other day , seemed to fim after all coz shes got group of new heads and sh*t sprouting all up filling in the prior stretch lookin spots . ill keep checkin back, im wantin to plant my durban poison but im not risking losing her NO CHANCE
