had to harvest this one this morning. it started out with the leaves turning yellowish (see pic), by this morning, all the leaves were drooping. i don't have a magnifying glass yet, but i can see that most of the hairs on the buds were amber. there is a nice skunky smell to it and i can see crystals. i'll let you know what happened after i cure it out.
According to some of the experienced growers in here, apparently i had nitrogen problems with this one. the other seven plants seem to be doing fine, although i have noticed that on the plants with sticky, well developed buds, the majority of fan leaves are turning yellow. on the plants where most of the hairs are still white and there is no scent; the fan leaves are still a healthy green:dunce: it might be a light problem. i had to camoflage these plants, they got a total of about 8 hours of full sun a day, now it is down to maybe 6 because of change of season. maybe that is problem. plants might be coming to end of the growing season

yeah i reckon lack of light is the main culprit, fan leaves also go yellow as the flowers ripen and take their nitrogen, wont hurt picked early. i harvested my brainstorm at 5-6 weeks and although weight suffered the smoke was top notch, what strain of cannabis are you growing?

its putting the energy stored in the leaves into finishing the buds. by the end of flower most of your fan leaves will be dying and falling off. its completely natural. imo you shouldnt have harvested yet.

the seeds were from some decent green commercial weed. i did not want to harvest yet, but the bud leaves were starting to droop also. oh well, i have 7 plants left, they stay in until either my magnifying glass gets here from e-bay, or first frost, which is not until somwhere around thanksgiving day

Yeah but your smoke should be good. But yes he is right, During the last 2 weeks of flowering the plant begins to take all the THC it can and put it into the buds, It doesn't happen with all plants I noticed. But leave your other plants in, And just keep a good eye on them. Keep us updated, Does look like a N deficienty too maybe O.O

i've dried and cured that bud that i had to harvest. it smells like dried grass clippings, with maybe a hint of skunk. the seven remaining plants are doing great, 4 out of 7 are heavily crystallized, but i'm not going to harvest until frost gets here

i would have told you that looks like the usual nitrogen deficiency people expect at this stage along with some overwatering and it did not need premature cultivation.

but oh well, whats done is done

LOL I'll never find out. i am saving that batch (a good 4 oz) for my desperate friends that are too cheap to buy the good stuff i am saving.. It would take a big set of balls to camplain about free weed, eh?

well, i did pick it too early. it does not help that my drying shed is too hot. i have an open sided pole barn, i might string up a few tarps to keep out the direct sunlight, then dry them out in the open as long as there is no direct sunlight on them, i think it will be good. i'm waiting on a 30X magnifying glass to show up in the mail, then i will take some close up pics and post them. i t looks like i have crystals all over the buds, i hope they can keep going until 1st frost( about 8 weeks away), then at least it will be cool enough to put them in my shed to dry out.
I'd smoke some of the schwaggy bud i picked too early, just to check it out, but i have a good job coming up in a few weeks and want to make sure i can piss clean without having to spend 60 bucks on a good piss test kit

frost must come way late in florida, cuz where i live were getting reall close to first frost, its like 38 at night. ive heard a plant can survive a few frosts if you cover them at night and uncover them in the morning when the sun comes up

by first frost my plants will be 7.5 months old, if they are not ready by then, then i give up. this is just a hobby for me, i really do not have the time and money to invest in a pro grow job..... although if this batch is real good, i might by seeds from a seed bank and try to get a few pounds out of it. i just have to be careful in Florida, i'm looking at felony prison time for cultivation
