Alright, now I got your attention.

Whats this?

It is actually much darker than it looks in the photo, but the HPS makes everything so opaque.



Now, I also have one additional question.
Could watering clones for the first two times with really high PH water cause them to have a cocktail of deficiencies / symptoms?

Would it cause yellowing of the new growth, not affecting the older growth?
 
Yes a high ph can cause numerous deficiencies all at once, is that a clone in the first picture was the ph off on that as well, what are the temps where the clone is and are you misting them?
 
The first day I got them I watered them with ph 8.3 water, and a few days later I don't even know what I watered them with because I just realized my PH meter is a piece of shit.

The temps go from 70-80 during lights on, and I have been misting them daily with clean water.
 
The temps are fine if your humidity is high, clones really need alot of moisture in the air. I would mist a few times a day with the correct ph also i would flush the soil to make sure ph is right if your ph is that high still you could lose them all, clones natuarlly feed off of the fan leaves while they grow roots, i would get that ph right fast and try and keep it right everything should go good from there, good luck
 
I am really getting tired of all these dramatic thread titles, which are often completely deceiving that people use to increase traffic. I want to see some plants on fire already.

Hi ph water( alkaline) causes the plant to be unable to absorb iron which causes yellowing of leaves and also has a knock on effect for further nutrient absorption.
 
A few of my plants have been growing like crazy, and a few of the plants have been affected worse than others.


How long should I wait after watering to flush the soil? I just watered yesterday, and I'm afraid to flush until I know they need water.

If you have nutrient problems then you should flush straight away, you cant overwater them if you have good drainage because ultimately the soil will only hold what its able too, if you get my meaning. A sponge when full will drip so no matter how much water you pour through it, it will reamain as full as when it was originally watered...there I think that explains it!
 
Flush right away to get things back on track, then let the soil dry good before watering again, you wont care about overwatering when your plants die due to ph problems
 
YOUR HYDROHUT IS THE PROBLEM~~~~ My plants did the exact same thing, and when I took them out of the hut the reversal and healing was absolutely dramatic....I had symptoms of at least 4 nutrient problems, when never having had any nutes, in 2 week old seedlings. I am telling you...hydrohuts and hydrofarm habitats are death traps!
 
Well I'm hoping that its not the hydrohut and that its the fact that the first two times I watered it was with an extremely high PH.

I'm going to do the flush and if I see a continued decline in plant health I'm going to buy a Secret Jardin.

I just thought you might want to know about this if you didn't already, because the symtoms sound similar.:peace:
 
Unfortunately, it was in my room by the time I read all those articles. I am praying that it isn't the hydrohut syndrome, but I am skeptical. I am going to go out tomorrow and buy a Secret Jardin Dark Room. 97% reflectivity and non-toxic!

My plants all have deep purple stems, and they are beginning to yellow on the new growth severely, and it is slowly starting to yellow the older growth too. They are growing rigorously, but some of my plants are stunted, and they're looking yellower by the day. I have only had these clones in soil for a week as of yesterday. :/

Is this consistent with hydrohut symptoms?
