I have 4 plants. Each about 5 days old in small clear cups. The soil was taken from my back yard. Back in the day, the vicinity my house is in used to be occupied by farm animals, so the soil should be good. I've been looking at pictures of plants as old as mine, and my stems are MUCH longer than theirs (mine are about 3 or 4 inches tall). Still the same 4 leaves, but I can see others barely starting to come in. Anyway.. I'm just using mother nature to let them grow. Sun through the window. I keep it about 65 - 70 degrees on the plants depending on how cold or hot it is outside (there's a hole in my glass window). They seem to be healthy, but I have to use a skewer to keep them from drooping. Any advice on how to keep the stems short? Or is that just the genetics of the type im growing?
