basically what thread says, sorry i haven't got a picture, i thought it was my side lighting but its parallel with others and they aren't doing it, they are auto's, i think this one's the auto no.1 from auto seeds, the plant is on its third set of leaves...just...but the stem is quite thin from vegging under cfl's, its literally horizontal with the ground and the leaves are up towards the light, anyone had this before?

Does the stem bend like an L, or are you saying the stem is growing horizontally along the dirt?

it like its coming out of the the dirt at a 10 or 20 degree angle, and grows along it, a centimetre of so above. i'm not sure how it happened really because it was straight up when i planted it, im just wondering if this an abnormal side effect of something, it's almost like it's growing away from something? yeah fans, i'm on that, i know not to push them too much but the fans on a bit now to make sure they get strong, hopefully it's just that.

as long as the plant looks otherwise healthy it should be fine. i have had some seedlings grow out sideways looking before and they turned out fine.

sometimes they turn into monsters!! big fat bushes!! when that happens though I try to transplant them deeper and it makes the plant grow straight up ... you do need to keep them dancing if you want fat buds without having to tie the shit out of everything!

Some seeds "expect" to be buried a little deeper, and if they're not, they end up top-heavy and leaning sideways.

As others have noted, it's not always a bad thing, you can end up with a great plant. You can also just add a bit of soil to support it, especially if it's very young, and then it should grow upward just like the others.

i think thats what i did, another has done it today when i looked, the stems are still thin but i don't want to fan them too much that would be just as bad, just blow them over, how much soil could i put around them, the stem is about two inches, but hasnt gotten any bigger since i added my led, just add an inch of soil around the stem?
