My plant died. (germination to dirt = fail)

Yes i'm a newbie and that's why i'm posting here.

The story as it follows...

My roommates and and i were making fun of one of our friends for buying weed with seeds in it. Turns out i eventually scored one of the seeds (he threw the rest away because at the time no one was taking them i got the last one left or something). It was some random strain of chron. Not the best stuff but not bunk either. So i, sorta pretending to be a grower, put it in napkin, soaked it wet, and toss it in a cup (my dad for a hobby is a gardener so i know some basics). Just a single seed, and to my surprise it cracked. A few days later there was this nice root...

This is where stuff goes down south..

I decided to be cheap and not buy soil so i scout nearby for a nice pile of dirt. I eventually score this decent looking dirt (not like dense wispy crap). I basically transfer the seed over into the soil median...but over the course of the next few days...after the point of no return and reading tons of articles on this site inside out...

i came to conclude too much love and water are not a good thing.

sniff sniff, tear tear, that was the sadest story ive ever heard.

oh well, try again with better intel. you can do it! ive killed mad seeds so far. but it isnt too hard to grow this shit. the problem is stopping once you start.

yeah, i'm tired of dishing out $$$ for it. The connect we get from charges about 300 oz, which is good stuff and gets split by a few of us...but here in the avg. 1/8 sells for 35-50$ 50 for the stuff we smoke. Roommates won't touch the $35 stuff.

yeah thats the same as around here. unless you grow big though you wont get to dish out anything. one plant might net a few ounces but will take a few months to grow. so get one plants going every month so you have a harvest every month of an ounce or two. if its for consumption and not sales than this is the way to go. if you have more room get a harvest every two weeks. that would be tight.

nah its some exotics man. some widow or blueberry or nyc diesel. we got sour diesel here too for like 350-400 a zip. straight big buds too no shake. we get our stuff in glass jars. in nyc you can call up a phon number and they will deliver it to your door. yay!

shit i hate smokin the name brand shit cause i spend all my money on it and its gone instantly...

i pay $150 an oz...and it's ALWAYS premo bud...never a bad bag EVER!!!

Bay Area Nor Cali. heh. if i could get o's for 90, i think it might have taken longer for any incentive to grow.

but its just some reggy right not no name brand
