My ph is so high

Ok since the search function here does not work. I have to post my question

I am doing a soil grow and am in the process of germinating my bagseed

I figured i would check the ph of my water to try to plan ahead.

It is very high in the 8s

So i hear you can you vinergar to bring it down

I was wondering is what is the long term affect on the plant with using vinegar to bring ph down

Sorry if this question has been asked before

From what I can tell, you want to be gradual about it so you don't stress your plant with the rapid change in PH.You can get some peat moss and mix it in the soil, it will lower the ph gradually.https://www.rollitup.org/view.php?pg=faq&cmd=article&id=71

I'd suggest you go to a nursery or hardware store and pick up some chemicals(you have a few choices) for the job.

Google(w/out quotes): "site:rollitup.org soil ph vinegar"

EDIT: Vinegar can kill plants if used too much.

Actually I was talking about the tap water ph

When I test the waters ph it is in the 8s

lemon juice and vinegar is a last resort fix, it only last 2-3 days then goes back to what it was it wont stabilize the water. if your really broke go to the fish store and get the small ph down for 5 bucks or if you got a little more money go to the nearest swimming pool store and they got bulk of that shit for cheap as hell. peace

also how long are you letting your water sit out before testing it?
