I asked about a proper dehumidifier. Not sure how to delete threads but I'm gonna stick with this one, if I can smartly covey what I'm asking.

This is all taking place in a bedroom. started out 15x15 and 4x6 closet. Carpet is all gone and room is cover with white panda film type stuff.

I've decided to use 4x6 closet to seed, clone, veg, etc. I built a 2x6 false wall and put in an exterior door that seals light out totally, hopefully will help a lot with smell and sound. I used the foam board on both sides it was cheaper and should work better than drywalI. I have a 2 ton mini split in room and will us my existing 70 pint dehumidifier air plumbed in attic against wall so exhausts out into soffit, the water I'll drill a hole and water will go into empty spot in yard, neither is a worry from neighbors or guests. Hopefully I'll be able to build ducting decently as its not really standard exhaust port.

I'm gonna use 1 of the hlg 600 in veg area and my 5 other leds 550s and 600s to cover 5x10 flower area. I really cant spend anymore money atm. I have a Titan 8 light controller with timer for flower area grow just gonna put on 20 hr timer. I do have a 1000 Gavita not being used, I know its badass light just not sure how to use it??? thought about light rail and side lighting one side of flower room. I think to much...had the last 6 weeks off...

I'm gonna clone from my existing mothers, Blue dream, Holy Grail Kush and Sherbishna, plan is to go from cloner to 1 gallon pots for 2 weeks then switch to 5 gallons veg another week and switch to flower, all in Ocean forest soil really have not decided on fertilizer yet as its my first soil grow. ???

I really like hydro but with work schedule I'm gonna switch to soil and hopefully an automated watering system that gives me a least a 3 day window away.

Thoughts, opinions, hell intelligent critique very welcome... ????

Thanks a lot

I ran flood and drain hydro with large reservoirs and I could get away for a week at a time without issue.

Did you say your ducting your exhaust into the attic and through the soffit? I hope you don’t own this house because it will be full of mould in no time

I can duct straight into soffit no air would go into attic...Not sure how that would cause mold.???

He really doesn't need to vent with running a mini split

Explain please, shouldn't I vent dehumidifier out of room so the mini split isn't constantly battling the dehum?

I mean the mini split wins...just feel like its not very efficient.

You should've accounted for the dehumidifier when sizing the mini split. No need to vent it.

screw the venting run a sealed room get a scrubber for smell and get a compressed co2 system with that split ac u wont have to vent out heat..just my opinion

I use a pump conected to my drain table works balls if gravity doesnt work with ya..u got a fuzzy logic mode on that controler? If so its a set it and forget it deal..

The regulator is a keeper so you can use that with another controller. The controller itself, the PPM-4 is however discontinued as CAP got bought out or folded up don't remember which. If you can get it to calibrate then it's probably ok to use but the problem is you dont have a readout and can't tell if it's calibrated.

I would look into an upgrade on the controller for sure. Look for one with fuzzy logic, it will prevent over running your set point when using a tank.

Any particular brands? I've never run Co2, I'll learn.

I like Autopilot & Titan. You can get stand alone CO2 controllers or you can get environmental controllers that can manage CO2, temp and humidity, this is good since they are able to stop co2 enrichment when venting for heat or humidity. Watch out for the ones that are just a repeat cycle timer for CO2 as those don't actually read the co2 in the room.
