My girls seem to be thriving under my CFL system. They are about two weeks in there. They are clones (and clones of clones I think) from my first grow experiment. Hard for me to say how long the cuttings were taken because I can't remember. It was definitely too long while I waited for the mom to flower (I only have one good space). I'd keep them in with her for hte 12 hours (was with much less lighting then, mom had huge stretch) and then move them for more hours under a makeshift, really-not-enough light set up. I'm guessing that went on for about 3-4 weeks in 8 oz plastic cups before I replanted. But it may have been longer, I'm a pothead, I can't remember shit!
In any case, I am considering these experiments as well while I wait from some better seed. Two of the plants are in a mix of no nute potting soil (20%), Peat moss (30%), perlite (25%), vermicultie (25%) - plus I threw in some worm casings on a whim. One of those two is tied down LST (note: this one was the largest/oldest before LST as well) and one I tried FIM. The third plant (the one up front in the trio pic) was a no soil/peat moss experiment using a 50-50 perlite/vermiculite mix with some casings again. All three were in MG seed starter before I moved them so I think I got lucky.
I'm following the Fox Farms Trio regiment but cutting back slightly on their doses. Using nutes with every other gallon used and I add about 1T/Gal of blackstrap on the nute feedings. I'm watering using a Tropf Blumat system gravity fed out of a 5 gal bucket (with an air stone blowing in it all the time. I am really surprised I don't see more on the Tropf. It cost about $75 and seems to work great as an autofeeder that requires no electricity or fancy gizmos. So far so good bt we'll if it continues. KISS is my motto as much as possible though it is hard not to fall prey to my newbie desire to overdo it.
Would love any thoughts, kudos, you f*ing idiots, whatever. Here to learn and share. Also, if anyone has any clue on what sort strain is might be (even just indica vs sativa) I'd love to know. Mom came from bag seed and the little bit she produced for me was definitely better than the bud from which the seed came . May have been due to age or something else, but it was better smoke.
