Nothing productive from video games?
We're going to reach back into the time portal and pull out some productivity.
Played the crap out of Ultima Online up until last year.
Used to sell spare gold in the million GP range. Sometimes the market would net me 25 bucks a sale. I could easily make 350k gold in 15-20 minutes.
Sold houses for irl cash on UO. My biggest sale netted me 400usd.
Sold some pretty awesome items and some were in the 10s of millions of gold range. Or just strait up cash trade before the duping days.
Got into the whole server emulation thing for 2 years. Set up a donation store and made a nice chunk of change through that while doing absolutely nothing but having a dedicated premium connection and decent processors to handle all of the mobiles. Let a few trusted people have GM status for some in game perks and poof you really didn't have to do anything but keep your programs updated and lay the banhammer down on exploiters every once in a while.
Sometimes get a phone call in the middle of the night that the server's down because your power went out for 5 seconds so your comp shut off.
You'd be surprised at how much disposable income people will throw at a game to avoid actually having to play it to level up and whatnot.

Powerleveled noobs in WoW pre WoTLC. Didn't make huge profits on that but it was decent side cash.

I just stick to Dark Souls nowadays and casually mess around with the PSN's classics for fun.
I'm doing more old school Pen and Paper games than that lately.

And now that I do know, I'm still annoyed that he would use such a term with me that would be offensive to him if I used back, especially knowing that he's been so confrontational with me in the politics section.

If you don't want people to call you something, then the first thing to do would be to not use that term on them.
