My Girls... Whatcha Think? First Grow!

Finally some pics.

Started April 4th, started flowering 10 days ago.

Growing in Spare befroom with TONS of 23w CFLS (Hubby said I had to actually grow successfully before I could buy good lights and since he is the only 1 that works he wins :mrgreen: ) and a big garage light Flouro and 1 $6.99 grow light flouro.

Bag seeds 7 Females outta 10. Started in crappy Dollar General $3 a bag soil transplanted to Sun Mix 8 after I found this board (Shoulda added perlite the 8 really holds water :-? )

Your plants look very healthy.

You can tell your hubby that he needs to get his hand in his pocket for those good lights.

If you can produce plants that look that good with some small cfls then you will have a forest when you upgrade to MH and HPS.

i would get rid of the tin foil from what i have read its a bad idea, it reflects light badley in to many directions u would b better with flat white paint or mylar if u can afford it . plants are kinda skinny for flower but thats cause of low watt lights dont expect much off of them . your goal should be .5 gram per watt but maybe even less with those lights. best of luck .

Dont forget this was lady's first grow to prove to her hubby she could do it.

I presume she will refine what she has when hubby is satisfied and then is willing to spend more money.

I do however agree if that is tin foil then get rid of it. It actually has very poor reflection and can create heat spots in your room.
Flat white paint or reflective paint or even mylar depending on how much hubby is willing to spend.

here are mine after 60 days veg just switched last week to 12/12 , got 2 90w led ufos and one mh/hps combo 400w mh/360w hps my whole room everything i needed to start growing and i mean everything for under 500.00
 
Tell hubby to cut loose with some cash for an HPS. You will kill it. Here is mine at 2 weeks flower 400w HPS (got 5 girls just like this one):

LOL Your plants look awesome! As stated this was a "prove I could do it" grow ( I have never even kept a house plant alive for more than a month) and since neither my hubby or I currently smoke he was not into spending money till we knew I could do it.

I have about $40 into my room!

He is now convinced, I am ordering from Attitude for the big June sale and I now have $400 to spend for my next grow, I am hoping to have a perpetual 5 plant grow going after this.

Thanks 4 the words of wisdom and encouragement ya'll! I will give random updates on this grow but I dont think I'll start an actual journal till the next 1.

I dont think I Could add more lights! I have a total of 16 23w CFLs plus the long tube flouros. There was a big sale on lights a while ago and I am a coupon girl so I bought them for about $1 per light. I have never been able to grow anything before but this is going great!

HaHa, I might be the queen of cheap, don't get me wrong if $$ need to be spent I will but if I can save a few bucks I do what I can. heck I am on 4 different pain killers plus a total of 5 other prescriptions and I change pharmacies every month to qualify for the $25 gift cards with a transferred prescription! I am goin to check out your link now and I will friend U cuz I always have ideas that might save $$ I'm not sure about....

Looking real good for what you have to work with. You'll be getting those lights when you finsh your grow. But anyway keep it up. Good luck
 
please dont get me wrong i was not trying to put u or ur grow down just my 2 cents trying to help , by the way i had two males i had to pull last night so im down two only two plants as of now. made clones and waiting for them to get big enough to make more clones off of them instead of just a mother plant.
