My girls...All grown up...

Hello everyone, I subscribed a few months ago when I started these (my first grow ever) and wrote a few threads but knowone showed much interest, so i didnt stay very active on it. Anyway i've had them on a 12 hour light cycle for about two months now and think its close to harvest time. I have the growers bible, and have gotten a huge amount of info from it but i feel like theres nothing better than advice from a person first hand, so I just have a few questions/comments.

Do they look like its time to harvest them? i don't have a microscope to check out the resin glands so im pretty much doing it by eye..I harvested one but seems to be a bit to "green" smelling.

I have a picture of a leaf on here too, i concluded from the book that it was spider mites...im pretty sure i got rid of them and was just wondering if they can still affect the bud?

The plant which still has most of its white hairs and very skinny leaves i think is a sativa so i know they take longer to grow sometimes but my question is it stated to lose a ton of its leaves daily about a month ago and hasnt lost many recently but im just wondering why this would happen and if it will greatly affect it?

Those are some nice pictures. What cfl's are you using and what nutes are you feeding it?

That is an impressive job for the first time doing it and also a cfl grow. If you already know that the genetics of the plant leans toward the sativa side then yes the tendency is that it does take a little longer to mature.

Thanks man, up untill a few weeks ago i had them under 2 42 watt, 5 27 watt red spectrum and another 8 27 watt blue spectrum, but now i have a total of 5 42 watt and 10 27 watt red spectrum i put in for flowering although a little late...I bought Fox Farms 3 pack of fertalizer which includes: open sesame, beastie bloomz and cha ching. im currently giving it beastie bloomz but i don't really know much about it so trying not to overdue it, i think i might start giving it the cha ching in a week or two if its not too late...idk any advive would be great..

well i used all bagseed and i thought they were all from the same bud but the thing is only one of the plants looks like its sativa and completely unlike the other ones, so its kind of confusing...

if what you used to treat the mites was chemical, then you need to give a reasonable amount of time for that shit to fade away(work itself out). because the chems get onto the buds and can cause some nasty tasting smoke. If you treated the plant really close to harvest then the but can suffer. Hopefully however you killed the nasty basterds, was a couple weeks back. On another note your plants are beautiful.

Thanks...i read in the bible, haha, that theres many different natural things you can spray them with but i needed a very quick fix so one was oil and water, i mixed about 3 or 4 drops into quart of water and sprayed the hell out of the undersides of the leaves for a few days and in between just did it with water...I still am doing it with straight water for precautions.

ya use NEEM oil for the spider mites? worked me wonders. lookin like a really good CFL grow not too much longer, i'm not there yet but i've been told a 30x microscope will really help you tell when a wanna harvest

ya i think it would definately be worth it to go get a microscope. im getting a little scared that im gonna miss the peak harvest time... maybe tomorrow i'll get one , i remember reading they sell em for pretty cheap at radioshack.

scratch that man, i just realized i had a jewlers loop from a photo class, went and took a look and the resin glands still look pretty clear/opaque. I think you want them to be more milky right?

i got a setup similar to your i guess how many plants did you grow and how did you doo you lighting all from the top or some from the sides/bottom? just curios let me know thanks some awsome looking buds man im anxious

i got 5 going under 15 27watt and 5 35 watt 5500k 15 bulbs and 6500k 5 bulbs im usin alaska fish emulsion and morbloom for when they start buddin

thanks, im anxious too, haha...heres some pics of my grow room...its about 3' wide x 3' long x 5-6' high. i have 4 27 watt cfls on the lower half and 5 42 watt/ 6 27 watt up top...

ya my friend helped me build the box ( only one whos knows its there) its In.The.Basement, haha. Nobody goes down there. to be honest i'd like more room...i have 5 ladies outside on a balcony taller than me...in some ways im more excited to see how they come out, under the natural sun and all.

Yeah it mean's the person is adding reputation. Look under the join date on your posts and it has a little black square that is a symbol for reputation. You can see how many you have recieved if you click on Myrollitup which is located towards the top of every page just abouts...
