My first vaporizer experiance

I'm 56 yrs old and normally I'm strictly a joint smoker only with indica strains. Last night had friends over for cards and dice. One brought a vaporizer. Toke a couple hits off it before bed and I could NOT SLEEP and this was some strong couch lock indica that usually knocks me out. Is this the vaporizer cause the change in THC or something? thanks

The "high" is much different as your only consuming THC.
