My first real pollination experience, what can I expect?

OK, A friend with a med license grew out a flav male from seed. then he took a little plastic bag and put some pollen and a few of the naners in there. (quite a lot now that I think of it). So I took that bag of pollen out to my cheesequake in week 2 of flower with just a few white hairs in many spots and I put pinches full of this pollen on several arms then put the bag over one for a day (clear and small). Anyway seems like nothing pollinated, i wasn't sure if the pollen was good but thought it should be. Now I go out week 6 and I see big green seeds peeking out from my cheesequake in several spots. I assume since there were only so many white hairs when I put the pollen i should only get seeds with them, is this a correct assumption?

My questions are:

1) How much potency will this bud lose if there arn't seeds on an arm compared to a seeded arm?

2) How much potency will buds with a few seeds lose (or how many more bowls will I I Ihave to smoke to get equivilant of one bowl unseeded)?

3) How long should I flower her before I chop given I want to cure and smoke it, but also want viable seeds?

I really want to both smoke it and raise the seeds to maturity for future grows (I really love The Flav, and my Cheesequake smells like fruity pebbles and looks like its covered in white sugar at week 6. Since both these strains have Spacequeen in the past will this cause any problems with the future seeds?

As you can see i'm full of questions as this is the first time I ever did a non-hermie accidental breeding project, but the problem is that seeded bud will be the only bud I have to smoke for like 3 weeks as well, so I gotta really play this carefully and find the best line to walk between perfectly harvested smoke and viable seeds (I don't need a lot of seeds as they are just for me to learn about genetics with breeding my mmj)

Any info on what I may discover before that time comes would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to know things to watch for and get any info from anyone whose grown seeds they've bred from 2 strains of regular seeds (although by the same breeder).

+Rep for any info I may not be thinking of.

sup man, as far as potency, the best answer I can give is that it will still be better than the seeded crap you can buy off the street. Seeds will mature one month after pollination. So if you pollinated after two weeks, you should be a-ok. If you want to be sure pick one a week before you want to harvest and make sure it looks like a viable seed. Then you should let it sit for 3 months. I've also just propagated some right away. Both work, but I've heard you should let them sit, just as in nature when they go from fall to spring. Peace man, good luck

Anyone else? I'm curious, if I take out the seeds once done then put all the buds in a grinder, will I notice a difference in potency if its covered in trichomes still?

no u wont even notice. if its dank it will be dank.. considering the circumstances you shouldnt have tons of seeds , and your weed should still be good.
if there was a thousand seeds then yea youd prolly loose potensy and alot of your yeild. just be patient you will soon learn for yourself.

It won't lose potency b ut the pollinated branches will obviously lose some bud potential and trichome production on these branches will slow to a stop as the main goal is now to produce strong viable seeds.
