My first MH/HPS Grow, any advice

How do you not know this? No offense but you seem to have been around here for a while.

Anyways, if its aircooled you can place it between 6-18" above the canopy depending on the wattage of the bulb.
 
Just because someone has alot of rep points,doesn't mean they got them from people repping a grow they did or for knowledge they shared in the growing forums.Their are many non growing related sections to RIU and other forums and I've always said that when you have rep from non growing related sections it should only show under your name while in the non growing related sections,and if you have rep from the growing sections it should only show under your name while in the growing related forums.


All my rep points are from the growing related sections,I don't go in to the other sections.
 
And to answer your question OP...

Depends on size/age of plants and temperature.

A good rule of thumb is 18" above your plants and lowering 6" every day or other day until you notice liggt bleaching or burn or it feels to hot.

True, because I've got lots of rep point but I don't know shit all compared to other users on RIU.

Yea i wasnt trying to sound like a dick. The reb points and post count is just misleading i guess. I agree with you though. Should definitely change something up with that
 
Or it should be made that other forum members can view what section of the forums other members got their rep points from.

I agree, I have never been anywhere but in growing, sead and strain reviews.
I have been a member over a year and I can't imagine having enough time, or enough information to share worthy of over 1000 posts in a few months.
Or even the time for that much typing.

I agree with this completely....the "likes" should be brought back, imo for non-pot stuff
 
Alright guys light is 12" above canopy and i cant feel any heat coming off cool tube only wen i touch the glass
