They look very stretched. They are trying to reach for the light and it is too far away. Are you using flourescents?

for the first 2 days they where grown by a regular light bulb then after that it stayed on with the addition of an 40w 4000k florescent tube, then just yesterday i bought four cfls with 5000k temp range with a combined 4800 lumans. the day before i bought the new lights i planted some of my germanated seeds in the the cups and they have allready started to grow better than the first set... most likeley due to the better lights. but are my first set going to make it being so lanky???

ya this first batch was grown under shitty light thats why they are all lanky and stretched, the biggest and first to sprout isnt doing so well i think.... its leaves have a color on the under side and they are stating to curl and twist. i have two cups for each plant, the first with the soil has holes to drain water into the second cup, plant #1 and #3 both have a root coming out of the hole on the bottom of the cup. does that meen its time to transplant or should i wait more. and as for the second batch they look perfect but im still unsure when to transplant. Any help would be appricated!! thanks guys

That aluminum foil from my experience will make real hot spots even though your ambiant temps will be 80ish on the plant will get much hotter in spots... hot spots will ruin sprouts.. The cheapest fix is mylar... you can get the ballons at the grocery store and make your own or buy the sheets of wrapping paper the dollar store will carry this... Stick to your water schedule and try to let the soil dry out to the touch... its easy to overwater but hard to save them once its to late... They dont look bad pretty healthy maybe alittle streatched you can move the lights close by putting you hand at the tops of the plants when it gets to hot on your hand its to hot on the plant..

get that mother in a bigger pot atleast a little bigger.. seems its starving for something not sure what how much and how often are you watering... if the ph gets above 7 or 6.5 it could lock out the nutrients in the soil.. I would def replant into atleast a two litre bottle.. are you using soil or hydro dwc or something.

Get your lights closer to the plants, keep a fan on the lights to cool them. You do not want your plants stretching, you want your plant to have tight nodes
