My first growbox journal - Northern Light

Hello all,

This is my first experience in growing,total beginner and i've been reading a lot and thought i already knew much about it but it seems there's always more to it.
So here it goes:

Strain: 4 Northern Light + 1 Afghan kush + 1 Cheese
Lights: 4 23W CFL cool daylight running on 18/6 as for now.
Soil: Potting soilmix
Water: RO water
Vent: 1 PC fan + 1 small circulation fan

1st week: From germinating the seeds and been put to soil now is day 7.

The seedling seems to be twirling and shrinking,is this healthy? :cry: i've water them once a day,and i dont have pH meter to check the pH.

Seek for your advice.
 
I think that soil is burning your babies. What exactly is in this potting soil? Good soil is a pretty important building block, to say the least. You could try a small flush but I'm not sure they could survive the flood. You haven't fed any nutes yet I hope?
 
i've no idea exactly what is in the soil,it doesnt stated on the pack,its a potting soil. no theres no nute added.

ermm,how do i flush? :-?
 
seriously pots are like 39 cents. go get some.

if you read on the back of the bag it will let you know what kinda soil it is and whats in it.
or you could tell us what the bag of soil says

if youre too lazy to get up and go tell us what the soil is dont expect much help here when you ask other problems, its give and take mate
 
i'll get some pot yeah..

i knew how to read sir..but there nothing stated there for what is in the soil. :cry:

im going to ask one more time before i just stop trying to help you
what is the brand of soil? there is ALWAYS a name
 
yes and yes im from malaysia actually,if you knew where it is..this place sucks,dont even have a hydroponic store or something.

i couldnt even get a pH strips here!

i would switch the soil do you have other brands at a gardening store you dont NEED to buy fancy soil but you can make your own blend or you can buy a generic brand from overseas, you can order online which will be more pricey
 
allright,so yeah think im gonna do that..sigh..thank you kind sir!

ermm,would it be okay if i switch the soil now? wouldnt it be damaged?
 
If the plants are still alive I would either try the flush (take the plants to the tub and run water through at a 4:1 ratio, this will wash out many of the nutrients in the soil that are burning your babies), or attempt a transplant. To be honest neither are going to have high survival rates for them at this age. In my opinion you should try the flush, and if it doesn't work in a week then scrap it and start over. Lesson learned.:-|
