Hey Guys

this is my first plant so far other than my outdoor one (which i have no pictures of) and i am wondering how i am doing and what i can do to improve the plant's growth and health

also, does the tinfoil reflect light, i heard from a friend this helps get light to the lower leaves

Generally tinfoil is not so great, it can reflect hot spots and burn your plants, but if you aren't using very strong lighting I don't think it will be too bad. Give us a run down of your set up and then we can give you some more advice on what you will need and what you should do. Good luck.

Also, here is my grow area, is that a big enough light to supply 1, the other is going outside soon.

What is the wattage/lumens of that lamp. I would assume that that light will not be sufficient for flowering you will need to get as much more light as you can conjure up. Give us specs of everything you have, size of box, light wattage, soil, type of nutes you have or plan on using.....

I would upgrade to more powerful lights.
If you're on a tight budget then just pick up a couple 42watt (150watt equiv.) CFL's

I use Four of those bulbs for my plant, and it's been amazing so far. I'm in the 3rd week of flowering. You can use those CFL's from start to finish, flowering too.

hey
so the light im using is a Vita-Lite Duro-Test 20W Preheat Trigger
the box is 27" by 16"
the nutes Schultz-Instant 10-15-10, im buying new nutes from high times though
the soil just came from a old pot it seems healthy though

get cfl's and just hook them up to any standar socket. Cfl's are generally better than floros for your particular set up, they are easier to move around and can be aimed exacly where you need them. Make sure to try and keep your lights an inch away from the plants, floros aren't powerful enough to be too far away. Blunox has a very good grow on here that he did with schultz his set up was a lot more efficient than yours but it worked very well for him, I suggest you check that out.

i know this may sound daft, but have u thought of using the ez rollers, worth the 4.99 price tag??

yo so i got a clamp light
its a : Workshop Halogen Work Light 150Watts
i got 2 of them
should this be good and should i only set up 1 for the whole plant considering heat expense and the watts or should both be set up with or without the UV i already have??
thanks

thing is i just set it up and it gives off a shitload of heat, this could be bad, and it was probably a waste of money cuz me and my friend are too scared to set it up because it could cause a fire
should i just stick to uv's?

im growing with cfls. they work great for all fases of growing im growing in a pc box with pc fans. im using one 40 watt cfl and i have 3 plants in buding im going to get aroung 5 grams u could try something like this?

You grabbed the wrong shit form Wally World dude. What he was talking about was just a a round, polished aluminum reflector with a clamp on it. Then you would have had to get a y-splitter that fits into any standard light socket. Viola, two lights, or...two reflectors and two splitters = Four lights! Go back and try again bud.

man CFl's are the way to go.... i mod my cfls so i don't have to go waste money and time buying splitters and light sockets, takes up alot of space. with my mod yu can just cut up an old extension cord and connect the wires, simple as that.

heres a pic

the bottom is flat now, so i was just thinking of attaching some Velcro on the bottom and some inside my box, so i can move them wherever it is needed.
