Okay, this is my first attempt at growing and i am about 30 days into it and I thought i would begin a Journal of my grow. I have my card and after several visits to the dispensary I thought I would give growing a go.
I started with several seeds given to me, Super Silver Sour Diesel Haze and i germinated them on a small plate between to wet paper towels inside of a plastic Ziplock bag on top of my cable box and 2 of them popped for me in about 48 hours. I don't have any pics of this stage unfortunately. As soon as I got the seedlings going i decided to build a grow tent.

The tent i constructed with 1" PVC and Panda Film. the total cost including the first light was right at 60 dollars. It is 53" wide, 26" deep, and 7' tall. I have a fan hanging in the corner and a have a vent/viewing flap in the front. I had a third seed but it never took off. After about 5 days i had these 2 beauties.
The pictures above were taken on 6-14-2011 and there was reasonable progress and 6 days later they were looking great.

At this point I began using Fox Farm Big Bloom from advice i got from the local Hydroponics store... It turns out that i should have been using and am currently using Big Grow by Fox Farm.
However, the Big Bloom seemed to help so no big deal. Things have been going well so I went to my local dispensary and picked up 2 clones. On 6-22-2011 i picked up a Fire OG Kush and a Super Lemon Haze.

Planted these girls that night in Jiffy pots and the new growth is looking real nice. On 6-28-2011 i planted the girls in 5 gallon buckets and picked up 4 more clones from my brother. Things have been going good until 6-30-2011 when i noticed that one of my plants was curling.

It seems that I might have not watered the new soil well enough when i transplanted the girls into the 5 gallon buckets and the new soil soaked up all the moisture from the jiffy pots and dehydrated the plant a little but the new growth is looking fantastic. the 4 clones i got from a friend of my brother are supposed to be a cross of Bubba X Crossed with Sour Diesel that they call "Upgraded" never heard of it so im taking there word for it.. LOL

By 7-2-2011 the roots the 4 new clones had made there way to the bottom of the jiffy pots. So today (7-7-2011) I planted the "Upgraded" into 5 gallon Buckets, covered the tops with an inch or so of sand to keep the gnats from being able to make homes in the soil. I also added 2 more 4' 2 bulb florescent lights running cool and warm bulbs in them. I'm happy with the progress so far and from here on out i will be adding a weekly update or anytime something significant comes up. as of today this is what the group looks like.

In the orange buckets I am using Miracle Grow and in the the white I am using a cheaper soil that has a loser mix and i think i like that better. Plus i dont have to contend with the food in the soil when using Big Grow. There is sand on the top and the little green things are sticky pads to get and bugs that might come in. I should more and faster growth with 3x the light. I am so excited about the next stages and look forward to cloning and then flowering... This is so much fun...
