My first Grow

Okay i got these seeds last monday(bag seeds) germed them for 2 days and planted them in backyard dirt , transplanted to some potting soil yesterday and they are running under an aquarium light...heres some pics

I'm gonna set up a hydro for them on monday so we'll see how that goes

Okay, The Left and Right 2 trays with no sprout has been taken outside and grow on a tree....I'll post pics tommorow its kinda dark outside...

Anyway I used my light meter to measure the light of my aquarium light and it read 200 on the meter( it was fluorescents) and i measure one of my CFL and it was 500 ....so i might have to be doing a light change...when i went outside at like 5 PM the meter of the light went to 2k (max) so I'm testing the other 4 plants outside on the tree will catch up to the closet grow...I'm gonna try to see how im going to wire 8 CFL arrays and If I can do that it's the way im gonna go , CFL's....In about a month im going to fabricate a closet...pics will come

Alright I made my DWC hydro today and took the seeds i had in the tree inside....looks like they froze or something LOL! lets hope I can bring them back to life...heres some pics and comment on how u think im doing......BTW my soil grow is not doing any good...i don't know whats wrong they arent growing at a rapid pace like they were before...they've been the same size for 3 days...

They are looking good and I'm in the process of getting CFLs, I like criticism...

I love DWC....I too tried to start some from soil and some in DWC and the DWC ones are far outperforming the soil ones....I dont know whether it is my inexperience with soil growing or what, but Ive found the DWC to be easier. Just feed light nutes once they get going, I tended to overfeed them at first and it was no good. What kind of nutrients do you have for the hydro?? Do you have pH meter and all that jazz???

no i dont have ppm, good ph meter(it reads 7) all the time and the plants are going good ....im using foxfarm grow big

Okay what i meant to say was...I don't have a PPM meter and doubt I'll get one unless i can find them at the store for cheap...I have a Ph meter but it Sucks ass and always reads 7 on the meter...And the Nutes im using is Foxfarm Grow Big...it's expensive as shit like 20 dollars a bottle and my plants are doing good...one of them i think had root rot because i look at the roots and it was all fuzzy and shit so i just killed it and replaced it....anyways I'll post pics when i fucking find my damn cord to the computer...some jackass took it and i cannot find it...peace kids

Welcome to the forum. I think your trying to do too much at once. Slow down. Lets see if we can get them growing without a hassle first. You do have a light meter and a ph test kit is under $10.00. I have ben using mine for a year now and you do have a cfl. It would be good if the cfl is 6500k?? Switching from soil to hydro is difficult. Why not just stay with the soil at least until you could take some clones. You will gain experience with MJ, its apparent that you have grown other things, you don't have to start out perfect. I know I didn't. My first grow was such a disaster. I can laugh now at the time it wasn't funny. If this old man can make it through you can too. VV

I got a PH Meter/Moisture Meter/Light meter all in one...gonna setup CFLs later...or maybe get 3 Flourescent Lighting fixtures...(I already have) and Im gonna switch to smaller containers because the DWC is heavy...(I lift alot and i can tell you its very heavy to your average stoner) I did an experiment...I put a seedling in the hydro and a Seedling in the Soil at the same time..The seedling in the Soil has not sprouted but the seedling in the Hydro has sprouted with 2 leaves..already...Thanks for the input and can someone link me to a HPS system that is cheap and dependable...? I might go down to the local Hydro store and buy from them but they are expensive...but i want to support them since they dont have many customers

alright its been a while and this is the date of these suckers now..they are small for their age..i think its weak lighting 11/08/07

MY DWC hydro plant has nute burn i think...maybe a deficiency but i doubt it any speculation would be helpful...

can I just replace my fluoro tubes with T5 tubes or do i have to buy a whole new housing?

i think the make bulbs u can cross over google it im not sure or u can add them for flowering

im gonna go with a 430 watt hps from stealthhydro..cheap and has good warranty ...but first i need to get paid lol

man the condition of the little babies are worsening...i dont know if it is nute burn or if it is deficiency...
