My first grow Please criticize and offer suggestions

Well I figured I would jump in this beautiful thread. I am currently on my first grow, and personally I think (and hope) I am doing well. I started by reading a book by Ed Rosenthal then dove into Jorge Cervantes' Growers Bible. Anyway, I bought two clones as a patient at a local dispensary. 1 Rascal og I believe to be sativa; 1 N.Y. Sour Deisel. I also bought the three part jungle juice nutrients. I started the clones under CFLs (1: 300 watt incadescent equivalent CFL; 3: 100 watt incadescent equivalent CFL) for the first week. Next I transferred them to my Early Bloom/Flowering Room, where they vacationed under a 400 Watt Metal Halide resort with an oscillating fan. After a week of Good Blue light spectrum exposure, in order to save money and because of space, I switched to the High Pressure Sodium bulb and begun to flower. By this time my gurls (spelled that way intentionally) a foot and a half. The pictures that I will attach and the information in my thread, are strictly for medicinal purposes only. Pic 1: brought clones home and planted in 3 gallon.

Rascal budding. N.Y. Sour D. is Starting but slow.
will continue to update. PLEASE CRITICIZE!

They look good overall although If you think something's wrong take pictures with daylight color temps please. They also look a bit stretched, could be because day/night temp deferential even though your day temperatures are right on the sweet spot (78°F). Not enough light or penetration seems to be the key. IMO They'd benefit from a Lollipop, and you can take some clones for the next batch.

looks like you are going to need to tie up the colas from falling over...the stems don't look very thick

what does it mean to lollipop the plant? also day and night differential temp will stretch the plant? I will post more current pics also under regular light. Thanks for the feedback. Im brand new to this.

At this point in the grow I considered it but the stems thickened up and are holding rather well. on the rascal the topping and bending I did caused all branches to grow out so I am getting top colas as well as big buds that should had been tops

The flowers would grow bigger and faster if you wouldn't pick all the fan leaves off. I am one for picking some off strategically but you seem to defoliate the whole top! Not good I would think.

Thanks for the advice and I agree. Do not cut off fan leaves they provide majority of the sugars and Carbs through
Photosynthesis. I always just bend them out the way and pull the ones that are more than fifty percent dead. Also the fan leaves are a dump site for when problems such as over fertilization occur.
The plant sends thermistor to the fan leaves. I never cut a fan leaf. The NY sour d is a sativa grows tall as compared to my raskal which grows short and bushy. thanks. I will post pics after eight when lights come on

2-3 weeks mate id say pal..im subbed..and also repped ya mate

Thanks I appreciate your feedback. I am very passionate about growing and take pride in my crop. Any tips for later stages of flower? Also thanks for the rep but how does that work exactly? If you dont mind

Well im not too sure. I read that if u dont flush the chronic will taste chemically. Seeing as how I have never grown I cant mark that true or false. Originally I was just going to starve the plant nutes last week of flower. Unsure unsure. Really my biggest thing is making it to harvest problem free. I see so many plant growers with issues I am ecstatic by my success thus far

I know its a late ass update but i ended up with 79g of the raskal and 53g of the sour d. and a nice amount of hash, two pounds of butter which made awesome cookies

looked good man for your first grow i wish i would have had some good genetics like that my first time probably better i didnt tho cause i fucked up that first one. Love seeing the Jorge bible i wanna meet that guy someday maybe at this years 25th cup in the dam

is their a fan blowing on them? IF so maybe turn it up a little now or next time around when you grow again. strengthening the stock during flowering may take away attention from the buds. Id recommend that as it toughens of the stems quite a bit which when the buds start packing on really saves you the trouble of posting the branches up. either way congrats on your first plant!
