My first grow of...

I decided to take some seeds I had collected and see if I could germinate them. I was successful and since then I have really gotten into the growing aspect. I had a bunch of pots and soil left over from when I grew bonsai so I had everything to get going. I even built a small rig for the seedlings (pics attached) until I can build a nice grow box. I'm thinking of going the dresser box route.

Anyway, I just wanted to share some pics of the babies and have a place to track their growth. Wish me luck!

I am excited, my first five finger leaves came in last night and from the looks of it, I scored at least two females! Hopefully a nice little harvest for my first bag seed grow. I'm ordering feminized seeds once I get the hang of growing. I don't know who's signature it was but someone's is, "Smoking marijuana isn't addictive but growing it is!" I've definitely discovered a new hobby!

My growth started very slowly due to a serious lack of light but I'm up to 5-23W CFL bulbs, one over each plant and one dropped in the center of the four. I am starting to see a lot more undergrowth from the first three nodes. I want to try out the FIM technique to bush them up a little bit, I'm sure there's a good article on here somewhere for me, isn't there?

Got some new pics, babies are growing well thus far I think. How does it look to you guys? A couple of my buddies that have grown once before say they look good but I'd like some experienced eyes to tell me that. Any input from the pics?

With this being my first grow, I can't gauge their growth but they are really filling in with foliage at the nodes. I am getting small five finger leaves everywhere. Even the one I nearly killed with the light cord is surviving (the one with the white tab in the dirt). I actually cut it clean in two and severed the roots when I dropped the plug from my lights. Out of all the places to fall, it slices a 1/16 inch plant stem in half. I did a clean razor cut like I was making a clone, dipped in rooting powder and planted it about an inch below the first node. So far it's doing well although it's height and growth rate was definitely slowed compared to the others.

My babies are rocketing up and out. They have quadrupled in size over the last few days and are doing so well.
